Usually it's for the cases of "they didn't let me join this club because I'm a female" and resolving the situation before a lawsuit happens. When they expel a student without a fair trial, they're usually the kind of people who don't think they'll get any kind of retaliation for it, because sexism n' stuff.

Yes. They usually hold a separate position at the school, but the "Title IX Officer" position is tacked onto their job description, and they have the responsibility of making sure the school doesn't get sued or lose funding because of Title IX issues.

IMO, we're not next. FPH was chosen as "the big one" to announce that they were getting rid of because it was the one that had a lot of attention in the news. Even outside of "web culture" sites and such, reddit was getting a TON of shit thrown at them from the media because they were suddenly "the website that endorses harassment of fat people." You don't see /r/mensrights in the general news, because it's not a general controversy. You only see it in discussions that are specific to men's righ…

Although I agree with what this person is saying, I do have one thing to say. No one is making money off of the YouTube videos covering the scandal, as she claims. That would be incredibly hard to say with certainty. It's up to the individual YouTuber to decide whether to monetize a video (unless they have one of the older network contracts that requires monetization on all videos). I'm sure there are people out there who are looking for quick views, so they turn to whatever controversy pops up.

I may be able to answer this, as I go to what Newsweek considers the 12th best high school in the U.S.. It's co-ed, and admissions are 100% based on chance. Anyone can get into Signature. The school stresses academics above all else, although the arts programs are also great. There are plenty of extracurriculars, although there are only three sports. The results speak for themselves: 100% graduation rate, and 100% college-bound rate. IB and AP rates are good too. This just goes to show that this…

This is really a good point, as is Curt93's above. NPCs as objects to save, redeem, convert, etc. create a motivation for the player to play. To completely remove objectification of NPCs would be to create a game with the only object being to "win."

Trust me, I've done my research on Digipen. They have been accredited over and over again for excellence in their programs. Many of their staff are former workers for Nintendo, Microsoft, etc. Also, this is the only college that Valve hires directly out of (Even though I wouldn't want to do that).

The idea isn't one of what makes someone "deserve" a right; it's the principles of democracy. Democracy is the idea that the people as a whole determine the government's actions. Before then, the general belief was that a man voted for his household. However, the people in charged realized that (Get ready for this) women have different beliefs than men (Gasp!). It's not whether they deserve the right. Democracy says that everyone should have some sort of say.

Just so you know, mods can't truely disable the downvote button. I believe the RES gives you a downvote button on any link, but I'm not sure, since I haven't installed it yet.
