I almost literally had this experience yesterday. I decided to stay sober while the rest of the people there got increasingly drunk. It's interesting to see peoples mindsets change over the night because of the alcohol, but it gets boring really fast.

This, well almost. This video by Tyler should help. It sure helped me.

True. And if you don't cooperate, you are 'slut shaming'.

Also, a lot of guys tend to catch feels for them because they can't distinguish lust from love.

23 here. Going through a hard time now. All my friends are in a LTR and are starting to live together. This comment made me feel better.

Monk Mode is the perfect time to improve social skills. You can now go out without looking for sex. You can go on the whole night without having sex or game on your mind. That really takes the pressure off when it comes to talking to women. You can just talk to them and be genuine. You don't have any ulterior motives. They somehow sense that and they find it intriguing. They just can't grasp why this confident, decent looking guy won't make any moves. Whenever they start the touching, you can ju…

Thank you for reading. Also remember that if they're not fucking you, they're fucking someone else.

Since you asked for it. I saw her that friday and she came to talk to me. I was occupied with someone else. She ended up going home with another guy I've known for years, but who is not a close friend. Learned from a buddy from the guy, who is an old friend of mine, that they have been hooking up regularly for at least a month... So much for the 'you don't know him'-bullshit. The old friend is a true bro though. That did hurt, more than I like to admit. I decided not to contact her anymore. And …

You got AMOG'd. There isn't really much you can do. Believe me, I've been there. Plus, if they hooked up before, there really was no chance she would fuck you. You should have had more alone time with her so you could get to know her better and escalate. Your friend should not have been there. When the dude showed up, you should have joined the social convention in a playful and amused way. Make it clear that his presence doesn't bother you in the slightest way. If you manage to have a bit of ki…

You lost frame. You let that other guy get to you. When somebody is awkward or annoyed, it is visible. She saw it. You almost asked to go to her room, instead you went home alone. You lost. That guy won. His face doesn't matter. It's all about confidence. The dude immediately had kino and talked about him ending up in her bed? He wasn't joking. They already hooked up. Who knows how many times. Probably ended up hooking up that very night. The reason she texted you is because she doesn't want to …

Dutch? It is the exact same thing with carnaval. Regular guys who aren't ashamed to approach and fail. 'Normal' girls who suddenly get slutty and, indeed, blame alcohol. If you are a muscular, above average guy, you don't even have to bring game to hook up. I love carnaval.

It is indeed the slap you needed, only I wouldn't call oneitis a slap. I call it the shovel. Because that's what it feels like when it hits you. You have to keep reminding yourself that you are not in love with this girl. You are in love with the image your mind made her out to be. This image does not exist. The steak is not real. Remember that 'all women are like that'. Good luck man. Hang in there.

Keep being mindful. I've dealt with that with shit and it slingshotted me into the anger phase and I've been bitter for a while. You'll get mildly upset or irritated whenever you see her (at least two times a week for me). Only recently I accepted reality. Whenever I see my former pedestal, I can only laugh at my former thoughts and expectations and move on with my day. It was a hard but important lesson. Don't hop on the slingshot. It's a tricky road.

Embracing that imagination might hit you like a shovel later on. I mean, a lesson is a lesson and every shitty experience will make you stronger, but why would you want to get in a boat you already think will sink later on. It is tempting to embrace the imagination you have of a girl, but that is basically developing oneitis. Don't make her out to be better than she is. That is not only unfair to you, but unfair to her as well. She can't live up to the pedestal. You might have a hard time accept…

Creative writing can be interesting to women. Just mention it as one of your interests. Just never let them read anything. The mention is interesting. Letting them read shows you care to much.

I know a lot of guys who do that. A friend of mine, who is a major PUA, once dealt with a blackmail situation. He dropped a plate and the girl requested him to erase the nudes she sent him. He was okay with that and deleted them. Suddenly she told him that she still has his dick pics and nudes. She proceeded to threaten him that she would sent them to his employer and that she would post them on Facebook. Instead of engaging panic mode, he just told her this: "I don't give a shit what you do wit…

This seems to make sense. Could you elaborate on it? Because I've dealt with less kinky, yet similar situations. I really don't know how to respond to it.

My time to shine. I grew up around 'horse people'. I don't like horses myself, my whole family does. I have seen all kinds of 'horse girls'. There is just a huge difference amongst them. I tried dating some of them, but it didn't work out for me (not related to horses). I will sum a few up. The athlete. Is pure in it for sports. Will always put sports and horses first. Men can live with this, as long as they have a passion of their own. The rich girl. Daddy bought a horse. Lets show them other k…

Already been there ;). This is a danger zone though. Some girls hold grudges when you tell them you don't want a relationship. You don't want those girls that close to your friends.

Prepare for hard times. You will truly see TRP wisdom when you start dating. I'm warning you. I experienced it. I thought I found a nice girl, turned out she was riding the cock carousel hard. The moment you first realize that AWALT, it will hit you like a shovel. The anger will pass. Just be prepared for it.

This really works. Friends come first. I happen to have a problem though. I have ten great friends. Seven are in a LTR. Two are about to go into a LTR. In a month, I will be the only single guy of the group. I guess I'm just going to have to deal with that, because I do not want to have a LTR yet.

That might be. I don't know your story. But you are still his son. Fifty percent of your genes come from him. Try to focus on the good parts of being a man. Disregard the aspects that you hated about him. Be the best man you can be.

Alright. It is late over here so my answer will be quick. I don't really believe in Alpha and Beta. No man is pure alpha or beta. An alpha can become a beta. A beta can become an alpha. It all comes down to SMV. I have been increasing my SMV for a while now. My top three priorities in that process were and still are: Get in shape. Lift, but also exercise. Cardio is important. Run. Know your shit. Read. Read about what you wan't to be. Read about what you can be. You have to know what your frame …

That is very true. A hard one for me. The thing is, I don't know what I want yet. TRP made me realize that I need to rediscover myself. The frame-finding is all part of my journey.

He develops oneitis. Gets sad about the CC and AWALT. Holds his frame very well in the end. That song is about learning.

Man you are really speaking truths. When I first came I didn't get any transitory periods. Then I suddenly truly noticed that 'the one' doesn't exist and 'AWALT' is really true. I got angry at society and right now I am just slowly moving out of the grief stage. That gave me this realization.

That is exactly what I mean. I already stated in another comment that to me TRP is a guide and not just one rule. I take the aspects that I can apply to my life and use right now. Just looking at a lot of stuff in 'new' and over at /r/asktrp gives me the idea that a lot of newcomers seem to be more focused on game instead of actually raising their SMV.
/r/TheRedPill04/09/14 07:56 PM

Didn't mean to upset anyone. The thing I learned from here is that there is not one RP-theory. The Red Pill seems more like a guide. You can take aspects from it and apply them into your own life. Maybe I should have stated clearer that raising your SMV before raising your game is what my RP-core is. I want to improve myself first before I want game. I just thought that it might be an interesting idea for newcomers.

It is a sad realization. But the sadness will fade. There is more to life than chasing unicorns. Be happy with who you are. Try to be the best man you can be. Have an active social life. Exercise, read, lift. Nobody has to die alone. It is up to you.

I don't know what the more experienced men will answer, but my answer would be hypergamy. The 'beta' who has his shit together and is not bad looking simply has a higher SMV. Women don't have patience. The hamster would spin until she decides that you are not worth the wait and she will flock to the said 'beta'. As soon as you, the 'alpha', have your shit together, your SMV will be higher. The female will be more attracted to you.

Ah, I've dealt with this. Ignored her and found out later she was fucking another random guy. She either wants you as an orbiter or as a spare for future needs. Anyway she thinks your SMV is not high enough right now. Ignore and next.

Great answer. I discussed this with a friend the other day and said friend was really surprised that I 'judged' women like that. I felt like it is the natural way to feel.

Honest question. It really is humiliation you feel, right? Not that 'lost love' bullshit Hollywood is trying to feed me.

If this is slut shaming, is there really anything wrong with slut shaming? I don't want to date women who (used to) fuck around. I get a lot of shit for that. I'm getting the feeling I am no longer 'in touch' with society.

Wow, you just hit the nail on the head. Since I subscribed here I really started to dislike a lot of stuff on Reddit. I could not figure out why. You're right. It is the hive mind and the uncriticized group thinking.

Alright. I will elaborate on my answer. I used to work in a small business. Had a lot of fun with my coworkers. Had a great time. Until I left to start to do something on my own. Left on good foot. Ex-coworker had a thing for me at the time and I decided to give it a shot. Dated for a while, things didn't work out and we ended things on good foot. Apparently she somehow felt that I should have tried harder or that I should have been acting like a 'friend'. I ignored that last bit and went my own…

Just read some up on abundance mentality. Great tip. I did get the feeling she was into me. So the urge to send a text could be hard to resist. I'm going to lay low for a while and just see what comes up.

Yeah, I think this is the way to go. I will probably see her friday or saturday at a bar. I just keep my mouth shut and won't text her. If she comes up to me, I know enough. If she doesn't, next. Plenty of other women out there. Texting her now might lead to oneitis. And I don't want to deal with that shit. Edit: Come to think of it, she has shit tested me before. Agreed and amplified, or ignored my way through it. I guess ignoring/eventually nexting is the way to go.

Also works very well if you try to get some personal information from someone. If they give a little hint that they are hiding something, just look at them like you're expecting an answer and shut your mouth. They will spill the beans most of the time.

Have a good time. Dance. Let yourself go and have fun, genuinely. If you are truly enjoying yourself, women will notice that and they will try to get eye-contact or even closer to you. Talking is hard in the club, so try to let your body language do the work. If you don't manage to seal the deal, don't worry. It gets really easy after closing time. If you're still sober, you will be miles ahead in this moment. After closing time you will see girls who keep lingering around, because they are stil…

This explains it to me. You aren't looking for a friend. You are looking for a intellectual partner of the opposite sex who equals you in wits and looks. A sister can do that. My advice, look for a lesbian friend.
/r/askTRP

Oneitis is a bitch. You aren't thinking about her as a person. You are thinking about the person your mind made her out to be. You're also still dealing with the anger phase. The anger phase and oneitis are a very bad combination. I have been there. There are multiple ways of losing oneitis. Fucking others (hard way), drinking (easy and shitty way, but it worked for me for a while) or the other way. Have fun in your life. Work on yourself. Read, lift and do your cardio. Hang out with friends. Be…
