This is all very interesting, I've always only seen the idea that Asian men are treated as feminine and small, and unmanly, or should do better or more for their woman, because they are weak men. Your idea is far more efficient than mine, so I agree with you. In fact, I think "internalized misandry" would serve as a better alternative to the flawed "toxic masculinity" term, it hurts men more than doing anything for the society. Plus, if the term can be coined enough, perhaps more people can look out to fix a problem they subconsciously harbor, rather than ignoring everything.

Patriarchy has failed to grasp a concrete definition so far. I'd say it's as arbitrary as gender as a concept. But to say it is inexistent is also silly, not if we include the history. Well, I most certainly have "No True Scotsmen" other movement before, including the MRA in my defense. Every movement has its bad blood, if I brought up Paul Elam, I'm sure some of the MRAs won't be too happy either. But that shouldn't justify not giving people a chance. That's true. But it's important to note that even mainstream feminism doesn't represent the academic sides, or your average professors who simply hold a very feminist belief. The bad ones are power hungry, and I might add it isn't only these minority who got works done. There are plenty of women volunteers and those at NOW foundation for women (https://now.org/about/history/highlights/); have accomplished so much over the year. The one child policy is a separate thing, I don't really see how that's related to a discussion on marriage. in the beginning the feminism movement started out primarily as women's liberation, it wasn't until 1960 that they become official, that's when they decidedly strive for equality- during the period when sexism was a very present problem. I believe men's liberation started 10 years prior in response to the feminism movement speaking about gender issues at the same time. If there are theories you wish to challenge in our subreddit, you may challenge them, but I can't assure you that there won't be disagreement and argument. As u/Forgetaboutthelonely have said, no ideologies are perfect nor exempt from criticisms, if you can provide sources and argument to criticize certain aspect of feminism without demonizing women or discrediting women's issue, then by all mean make your stance. It is an open sub for the purpose of speaking and bringing up controversial points…

Thank you very much. And yes, as stated in the post, we welcome all but please attempt to be involved with the community, and attempt to be open to discuss, it is still a feminism subreddit and we wish to promote feminism in an open egalitarian manners :).

As a feminist. Yes I do care about men, cause they're human too, and despite certain radical feminists vision of their matriarchal utopia, the normal kind who have jobs, and are teachers, mothers, to doctors, never lean so extreme as to not care for men or even their own father, husband to sons. I'm offering a different perspective here: that no, not every feminist protest on the street and disrupt traffic hours- even when they do represent our group.

The fact that you had the patient to dealt with him and chose to sacrifice so much time and energy to make this relationship work is something you should be proud and impressed about yourselves.
