Yeah, I don't believe this is anything other than unfortunate genetics.

I'm going to speak up here. Female as well. This is my story. I know where this girl is coming from. I was, and am, broken. I was, more than once, manipulated into sex. In one instance, I fell into the arms of an abusive 'dominant' who used the context of BDSM to absolutely ruin me and push me to points that I would not have consented to--were I not afraid of upsetting him. There were screaming fights, points where I felt worthless and suicidal, like I meant nothing, was nothing, and I'd never m…

And if I'm in a fire and unconscious, it had better be a big burly man (or hell, anyone NOT female) picking me up and carrying me out of there. I'm not even that big, but I can bet most women can't even get me off the ground.

I'm not sure I'd trust those, to be honest! The pads especially. Plus, I typically go through a lot more than one pack of tampons during a period. So, yes, it's possible to get that kind of thing super cheap. Same way it's possible to get clams at a dollar store. You get what you pay for

Honestly curious--where are you getting the two euro a month number from?

Totally agree

Female here. This is exactly why I bought a menstrual cup! Pricey to start with (30 bucks I think) but cheaper in the long run. Still, pads/tampons are really nice if you don't want to ruin clothes/every piece of furniture you sit on. And don't like shoving a piece of plastic up your hoohah, which definitely takes some wiggling to get right. Not saying pads/tampons should be free, though. A cloth can work, and heck, I've seen guides on making reusable pads. Edit: Clarity.

I'm not even sure. At that point, I was more tired of being shot down by 'thus happened to me, so therefore, men don't need any help' than anything else.

We agreed to disagree in the end.

I'm not saying she's lying. I'm saying that I wish there were arguments she made that weren't just her own experiences.

People lie, and exaggerate. A lot. Not saying she did, but I would have preferred some arguments that weren't subjective or from personal experience.

I'll admit--a lot of that was just me ranting.

I like having faith in the world :P my boyfriend knows every time I browse here, because I hug him while he just nods at everything he reads. It's my crumbling vision of nice people vs his often right cynicism

I actually did have a discussion last year on the misogynistic nature of horror/slasher films, but at least I felt that one was a bit more valid (the whole 'having sex leads to death for the woman' thing). She did admit herself to be a Freud fangirl

I'm fine with that. I have a small, but solid, social circle. I don't like people anyway. If there's trouble, I can take it.

I should speak up. So much of this is bullshit. I expected this when I signed up for this school, but....Didn't expect how much it would actually annoy me.

Stare...rape? Yes, some guys have made me feel uncomfortable with how they were looking at me, but to call it rape? That's ridiculous

Oooh. I like you. Still doing the class, and my prof just got replaced by a short, chubby woman with glasses and dyed hair. I foresee Tumblr

This went pretty in depth into the nature of film, and how the camera acts like a male gaze, how it's examining and possessing. It was...weird, transphobic, and also made it seem like women were only sex objects/something to be punished by the man.

Is sex going to become the new 'What's wrong?' conversation? "May I kiss you?" "Yes!" "May I touch your neck?" "Yes!" "May I have sex with you?" "Yes!" "May I KEEP having sex with you?" "Yes yes yessss!" The man goes silent. He finishes, she does too. Almost instantly, she shoves him off her, crying rape. "What? What the...I'm sorry! What?" The man stammers, visions of jail cells and prison rape and court cases dancing in his head. "I was going to say no the fiftieth time!!! You rapist!" ..... :…

I feel really bad for laughing.... That sounds like satire. Like a joke. Like a mockery of the court system. Oh wait. It's real. Well....Fuck

Shit likes this explains why I can't stand a lot of today's women. Your husband is your equal. He's your protector. He's your lover. He's someone who takes care of you. ALL of that has to be mutual. How can someone even justify treating ANY adult like a child, regardless of gender? And if you can't trust them in a vehicle with a woman, or at a bar with women, then maybe you shouldn't throw stones in a glass house.

Fucking hell. Female, at University in Quebec. I go to a small English liberal arts university, and this place feels like hookup capital. This is...this is not going to be good, is it? I kinda think I want to start talking to my male friends, tell them to cover their asses. There's enough drama, and enough bitches, here for one night of consensual fun to turn into life ruining 'rape'. We already had huge seminars, too! Start of the year, the 'Can I Kiss You?' talk. Every freshman went. Every yea…

Oh! That makes sense, actually. I agree with you, though--it doesn't make sense today. "A lifestyle she's accustomed to" should already go out the window when you divorce someone; it's unfair to expect so much financially, especially when the divorce happened so long ago.

Perfect! I'll see if I can set up an event on campus. I go to a liberal arts university, so there's a lot of view points that aren't...the best when it comes to men's rights

Can someone please explain spousal support and why it exists? I understand child support, because kids are expensive, but spousal support? Is it just bullshit to make someone suffer forever for marrying an evil bitch queen?

I have to ask, is it as good as it sounds/looks? There's a lot of stir about it, and don't know how hyped I should be

I don't know if I should laugh or cry at this. This is ridiculous.

"All men are pedophiles", apparently. It never WOULD happen to women.

Wasn't everyone made to go to police seminars back in grade school? All those people talking about 'don't lie to the police' and 'don't waste valuable resources'? When did that stop being commonplace? Didn't parents tell their kids not to do this exact kind of thing? False accusations are a huge problem. They keep ACTUAL rape victims from having the resources they need, ruin the lives of innocent men, and and and....Gah. I'm just mad about this.
/r/MensRights11/02/17 04:02 PM

This is ridiculous. This is partly why I'm not keen on ever having kids--having people look at my husband that way would make me so mad. I can't believe this double standard. My boyfriend is more nurturing than I am (at least with our respective pets), and I can't see him being anything but a fantastic parent.

I love you guys. I knew I wouldn't get people mad at me, but I didn't expect all of this huge outpouring of kindness. This sub is amazing. This movement is amazing

Thank you for saying what you did. I do agree, there is some of the wording that does deserve to be changed. I'm definitely not the kind of woman I was ranting about above. I just want to make people aware of the fact perpetrators can be of both genders (even though my post did focus on bad women). There's a long way to equality, but we'll be okay. Eventually. I try to be optimistic, and surround myself with as many good people as I can. I am doing better, and I'm proud of myself for basically m…

Thank you, and you're right that I shouldn't include myself with them. But, I'm not perfect. I've hurt a couple guys, too. Mainly when I wasn't well, but that doesn't excuse it. So, right now, I'll exclude myself. :)

I agree with you. Egalitarian--now that's the word I was looking for! I do my best to counter the bullshit. It happens a lot. As I said, I go to a liberal arts university. It's...kinda filled with feminists and fake lumberjacks. The amount of man buns is scary, but that's beside the point. I'm tempted, and afraid. I'd need to have a throwaway. I don't trust people not to doxx. Thank you for your condolences. I am glad I managed to get through, without placing blame on those who do not deserve it…

You as well!

Yeah, this is definitely not a reverse feminist movement. It's incredible how toxic the feminist movement is, and how non-toxic the men's rights one is (or, at least, how both movements are in my experience). Politically, not sure where I stand. I just know I want some form of functional equality, and it makes me sad that that seems impossible.

I am doing a lot better, thank you. I mainly mentioned what happened to me because I see too many women hating men over one man's acts, and wanted to attack that argument personally.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
