Couldn't this perpetuate the "I can get out of this" mindset that leads to higher divorces among cohabitating couples not engaged? One reason I wouldn't want to live together with a bf is because studies show that mindset carries on into the marriage. If you get engaged and set a date but are still thinking "time to see the real him before it's too late", isn't this the same concerning mindset? This is why I want a future husband who is actually excited about having kids, not just "open" to it or doing it for me. My dad has always been very involved in me and my brothers' health. He was the main one taking us to the doctors when we were younger even, because my mom was the one working full time (she ofc knew what was going on though and always was updated after appointments!). I can't believe stuff like this post is so common, but then again I guess I can believe it 😞
