Dunno, definitely respect your decision not to ride, but I've had a bike before i ever got a car. Did well over 100k miles in last 15yrs. Gotta be vigilant and watch what others are doing, but I'd never give up motorcycling for anything!

Taking safety course is best thing you can do. Learn proper technique first so you don't have to correct learning improperly. Other than that just start small. Nothing wrong with working your way up. I still hop on my friends ninja 250 when i goto his house in the city. I have so much fun just banging gears on that thing than riding around my supersport in traffic. Only comment I can make is to get a motorcycle. Not only will your mind forget about anything/everything going on as soon as you start it. You will have a new hobby. You'll meet some amazing new people. You'll see some wonderful places. It's a total win all around. I have plenty to occupy myself, but when my bike is down or it's winter I'm not the same person. Motorcycles complete me...

Just rolled into the shop. Guy was shot at by his girlfriend. He had to be life flighted and she's in jail. He was trying to get away from her crazy, but wasn't fast enough. Be safe out there brothers.

Sounds familiar, but I'm not sure. I've always been a loner and riding by myself. Have had a bike since 16, years before I got my first car. I do link up with any groups I see at gas stations or wherever and hang with them for the day, so I've probably rode with lots of people.

Yeah, the area definitely died out back then. Last 10yrs has seen a huge comeback. Now it's quite fun again. Food and entertainment is top notch. Hell Caliente pizza just won best pizza in the world at a competition in Italy, and even better Philly's than well Philly lol.

Ahh, my hometown! So many wonderful times on that mountain and in the city. I've traveled quite a bit and Pittsburgh will always be one of my favorite places to be. Also so many great areas to ride your motorcycle through, such a beautiful area. I'll have to dig around. I've got a photo of me and my bike up there as the sun was coming up.
