Rejection, exploitation, humiliation Imagine if you couldn't retreat back to being approached only. Imagine if it was required by you to just fend off those feelings every time, without building any resentment against the group that's handling it to you and keep trying until you succeed with your confidence somehow remaining intact all this time.

I envy the fact men don’t settle Apex fallacy. The top ones are indeed do whatever they want. The rest just take the women they can get, not necessarily the ones they want. Men will move on quickly. Not true. A simple search will show you that most studies suggest the opposite.

I envy that they’re stronger in general I guess If that helps, think that this fact backfires in some situations. Men go to war, men do hard physical labour and the majority of the dangerous jobs.

I see your point. However, if TRP has negative effects, what's the healthy alternative for young men who struggle in dating and want some guidance? Tell me the healthy equivalent of TRP, a set of ideas, guidelines and morals that work and are solely focused on men and their reality.

Most men, if they really try to work on themselves can be passable lovers with whom a woman can have a good time and orgasm Is this really something they can really try to work on themselves? Don't they need a woman with they can practice, see what works and learn? It needs more than one person to do sex. Selfish people aside, the harder is for men to get sex, the harder is for them to become better at doing it.

but bc his ego got pumped up, i'm not goign around boosting people's ego ever again. That was what I was talking about. You only tried it once and you immediately started hating initiating and approaching first. And since you are a woman you are having the safe option of coping out of it without reducing your dating prospects by much. But how about do it 10 more times and see how you feel? Wouldn't you start becoming frustrated? You are not a robot.

It is not entitlement to your bodies per se. Frequent rejection causes desperation which in turn leads to resentment and poor behavior. Desperation and unwise actions/behavior go hand to hand in many other situations, not only in dating. Guys who can handle rejection gracefully usually have some "wins" here and there. Wouldn't be better if women would be willing to share the burden of approaching and rejection and not leaving all that to men? That way women would also feel more sympathetic to me…

Promote socialisation irl. Revive the neighbourhood/village communities, so that people would socialise irl with the people that are physically nearby. And what if your village/community is full of people you don't vibe? Online socialization gives you access to magnitudes more people than those of your neighborhood, and also since socialization now is a sellable service (sharing travelling experiences, dancing moves, opinions in exchange of money donations or # of subscriptions), why would anybo…

to cutoff the friend immediately You cannot cut off a friend like that, if she is a real friend and you truly love her as a person as well. There's no easy solution to this kind of situation unfortunately.

But you can also develop romantic feelings after becoming a friend. It's very normal to end up seeing a person you love and trust as a romantic candidate eventually even if you didn't in the beginning of the friendship. It's not all about ulterior sexual motive.

Do you genuinely like that girl if you are "spinning platers" with others at the same time? I believe that when you really like someone, she is the only person in your mind at that time and all the others feel unattractive to you even if they are objectively not.

To be fair, no one should adopt a cat or a dog for the sole reason of becoming more attractive to the opposite sex. A pet needs care, attention and time, which is sounds rather counter-productive when you are looking for a partner.

While this is accurate, you have to see that ruling was mostly a matter of class rather than gender/sex. A specific group of men had held all the power for all the history, Kings, Royalty, Popes, Bishops, Presidents and Businessmen. The vast majority of men throughout the history had zero say in how the world was and is running. They were used as slaves and soldiers like women were used primarily as birthing machines and assets. I don't agree that men can give better advice to women than their women counterparts. Some things you just need to have lived through them yourself to completely understand them. However I believe that men and women should sometimes watch coaching videos targeted to the opposite sex. It could help them to practice some self- reflection, understand the major problems and struggles the other side faces and then use that information to help themselves to become better in dating.

I see your point. However I don't think this behavior is pathetic, actually I find it quite normal. By definition it is very hard to become a top-tier man or a top-tier anything otherwise everyone would just do that. So the notion that only top-tier men deserve the majority of women's genuine attention and romantic affection, and in any different scenario the woman "has settled" is obviously something that doesn't sound right. Every human is responsible for their own mental well being and for dealing with their own trauma. This is not exactly how a society works. There is self-responsibility sure, but society as a construct also has a responsibility to help those groups by providing help and trying to tackle the causes of those kinds of trauma. This is the fundamental reason why we formed societies, to help each other. One of the biggest problems men face nowadays, is that despite women's problems tend to become socie…

You are misinterpreting it. Quantity of requirements is a different dimension to how high are the standards in a specific requirement. It's indeed 50% for women but their standards at this specific part of the equation may still be higher. In the following overly simplistic example: men have 100% looks as their only requirement, women have more requirements (50% looks, 25% personality, 25% wealth) and in the common one with men (looks in this case), they also have higher standards.

I don't believe you can really control being attracted to someone or catch romantic feelings, unfortunately. However you can control your actions and don't pursue it as you said. It is not something you can blame a side, yourself or the friend of course. It can just happen and usually it is a very unfortunate situation.

I see your point. I just wanted you to know that a man can lie about that thing not because he wants to deceive his partner per se, but because he doesn't want to embarrass himself and make himself vulnerable to jokes and ridicule.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 08:20 AM
2

Yes. And women from men too. Most couples have sex relatively early in the relationship, they don't wait for years. Trust needs time to build, and for having sex especially, as a man you have the burden to be sex-ready at any time, you can't afford to refuse sex because "you do not feel ready/you don't trust her enough".
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/22 07:14 AM
6

Literally the purported reason for lying is to increase your chance of having sex w her. I'd say the primary reason is not to get embarrassed, ridiculed, hurt and have your confidence completely wiped out, especially after some age. It's that hard to believe that men are people?

This forum is similar to political debate shows/panels where both sides are more interested in "Gotcha" moments than actually finding common ground. The whole world seems to operate like that though. Cheating affects both men and women. It can be very devastating to women too. About the physical aspect, a difference may be that when a man cheats, the blame goes 100% to him, he is the asshole, a liar and a pig like many men, the sex that -as our culture's constantly reminding us- cheats. On the contrary, when a woman cheats, rather than putting the blame on her completely as they should, men tend to also doubt themselves and have thoughts that their women simply found someone better. I don't understand this kind of reply, since boys having parts of them mutilated when they are babies, there is no problem in regulating womens' bodies too rather than, I don't know, ban boy's circumcision until they can decide for themselves, allow abortions and in general having people be the ones who decide about their own bodies.

Its not about not showing emotions to women, its about showing that you don't need their help to deal with them. Partners are supposed to help each other. It's not shame to admit you need help sometimes. You can't have a plan for everything and everyone needs help at some point. If you ask for her help and she somehow loses attraction for you then she isn't worth it. She is in just for herself.

Or we could make changes on how we raise our boys and focus on men mental's health problems and support for once? On a side note, it will always be dumbfounding how easily you just say "give'em guns". I believe that in real life, where there is always the *danger* of having to interact back, most women would not want "unwanted attention" aka attention from men who are physically unattractive to them. On social media, not only a woman sits safely behind a screen without having to interact in person but attention quantifies to numbers (likes, followers, donations etc) and thus is mainly always welcome.

For most people there's a fine line between aiming for something small and having no long-term goals. Wanting to live a stable and quiet life with my low-cost hobbies (even if it's gaming, coloring figurines or assembling puzzles) can interpreted as having no ambitions by some other people.

Bodily autonomy is a basic human right and is unnegotiatable. To be honest, it's tricky and right now I have no something specific in mind. But just because you and I can't think of anything right now, doesn't mean that we shouldn't have that conversation. I'm thinking that it doesn't have to be a "sexual" advantage, but it has to be something to balance the advantage of the woman in this situation. Usually if group A has something group B wants, accommodate Group B to develop something group A …

Women's sexual leverage advantage is real. Since we are living in societies we are forming rules and regulations to restrict -as much as we can- group advantages over other groups. For example we have defined that if someone stronger than you, overpowers you and steals your money, this is a crime. He can't do it because he simply can do it. It is unfair and we have made a social rule against it to counter it. We have also dictated that people with much money pay more for taxes for the same servi…

I have a friendship with a great woman who I love very much. Unfortunately, I grew intimate feelings for her but I am trying to fight them back. It has affected me positively, she is one of the reasons I can clearly see and understand the challenges of being a woman nowadays. What I like in this friendship comparing to my male friends one, is that she geniunely asks me the "how are you?" It feels comfortable to discuss with her about our mental state, general mood and health.

Isn't there any chance she would find boring the places where a man feels confident and comfortable? For example most people feel that way in their own home. Or what if someone would get her to a stadium to watch a soccer match? Or in a cinema?

Yeah, but if we limit assets to genes and procreation, a woman who doesn't want to have children is automatically less valuable to one (with similar set of skills, looks etc) who wants to have children or already has. This is what you imply. Also the fact that perceiving a pregnant woman having "damaged" her body is problematic. The body changes in pregnancy and this is something normal, it's not damage. You are damaging your body when you are smoking or drinking.

A lot of people have been sold a mindset by society that they need a partner to be happy but it simply isn't true There is a logical misstep here, I hope you see it: The fact that they have been sold a certain mindset doesn't mean that it's the sole and only reason why they want a partner. Many people need a partner (or their family) because that is genuinely what they want , regardless if society endorses it or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 11:12 AM

You do not need a partner in life to be happy. You just don't. Who? You? Me? Bob? Something that makes you happy doesn't mean that will make someone else happy. And the opposite. If I don't need one thing to be happy, it doesn't mean that's the case for everyone else. Some people need a partner in life or children to feel complete, content and happy. They are different. It's not that hard to grasp, come on.

Imo the most sound advice it would be to be picky and try to find exactly the person she wants but at the same time she should be prepared mentally for the possibility to stay single for the rest of her life if her search doesn't bring results. She should not settle. For her sake, and for the nice man who she is going to settle with, she must not do such a thing. After some years of marriage/living together, she'll realize the toll of being with a man she was never attracted to. It would be a co…

most men care more about the women in their lives than unrelated men. And women care about their men in their lives. It's easy for people to forget this if they spend most of their day reading TRP, FDS and other echo-chamber forums.

Was that a threat for violence against women? If you don't get what you want, you will make your frustration our problem via violence? Is that what you said? Holy moly. That post didn't declare the intentions of the writer or any specific man's (wtf), it's stating that in the most extreme of situations of course there are men who would cause violence to women for reasons like these, thus making it womens' "problem" too. That's the argument to your original post, that's it.

At the end of the day, bringing love and affection is bare minimum You would be surprised how hard is to find love nowadays. It's subjective but there are dominant patterns in men's and women's preferences and opinions about looks. For example I suspect that for women, a man's height, his face features, whether he has fit body or not, perhaps if he has hair or not are factors that appear very often when you gonna check each individual's take of what makes a man physical attractive. Same goes for men's take in women too. Looks are subjective but you should not be surprised that peoples' preferences overlap way more tha…

I would rather not date a woman who's hearing day after day reasons why most men suck. It's not whether they are right or wrong but the fact that many of them appear to be so much into that philosophy -many of them may have valid reasons I can understand that- that I don't feel that a woman like them will ever really love me. Once you have learnt to resent a certain party, it's usually very difficult to knock it off. This is my personal preference, no offense at all.

This simple thing. No matter how right you think you (and the philosophy you're following) are, growing so bitter and resentful against the gender you are trying to date with is like shoting yourself in your foot.

If these traits are what define him, how would he be now, in a period with relative peace (most of the time)? I'm geniously asking because I suspect that some people have traits that can make them excel in extreme situations but are quite useless in real life. In WW2 there are examples of simple teachers showing strength and courage and went on becoming war heroes but if that war never happened, their status would have not elevated, they would have stayed "average" (in quotes).

Got what you are saying. So sex, despite the fact that is something both sexes enjoy, is a hard or not so hard-earned reward for a man and practically a negotiation/trading asset for the woman. You understand -I imagine- why men would like to point out this obvious form of inequity?

Men tend to be natural leaders and their attitude gets really shitty, like vindictive or aggressive or passive aggressive, when a woman tries to lead them. That's a stereotype. There are men who are natural leaders, there are men who are not and there are men who have not any problem with a woman leading. They don't "tend" to do what you said. Plus they usually don't have problems going for what they really want, so if they aren't going for it I tend to trust that they have their reasons. Men …

I believe it but not exactly the same way. Maybe 10 percent of men are right for me, but they are definitely not the same 10 percent as for my best friend. I do certainly believe that but I suspect that yours and your friend's 10 percent may overlap more than you think. Every woman/man has their own preferences but if you see the large picture there are dominant patterns of traits that are desirable.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/21 11:41 AM

You are right, this is exactly the reason. But I like how we have now normalised the belief that most men suck, most women upgrade their partners' life and in general the average man is unadequate for the average woman. Sometimes I wonder if the women who believe this, have ever questioned this rationale: "if so many men are like this, maybe we got something wrong? So many men are not right, it can't be."
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/21 08:45 AM
26

You are not abnormal when you do not have options. Not everyone is incel and hates women when that's happening. This is the kind of thinking that makes men feel inadequate and desperate.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/21 08:14 AM
7

The ratio is irrelevant, only a certain/small portion of the male population is desirable to a big portion of the woman population. Most women don't complain they can't find a man, they are expressing their frustration that they can't find the right man for them.

I really think body positivity for men should be ran by men It's not "manly" to run a body positivity movement. You should take the hit as "a man". It's actually a trap that men created and fell into ourselves. Any help from women would be appreciated but it's completely understandable if it doesn't come. Women have their own problems.

Why did you make this personal? I didn't say there are not people like this, I'm talking about patterns. I'm saying that gentleness and roughness don't go together as often as they do. In my opinion, to become rough is to put yourself in situations you must not compromise and strain your ability to be gentle and polite. On the other hand, if a man is gentle by nature, there is a danger of learning to be overly avoidant of situations you have to step up and stand for yourself. Those are very comm…

Bad faith discussion. You are so bound to prove that we are technically "animals", completely ignoring the main point of the post that we have higher intelligence, self consciousness, morals and many other things that no other species have and we can take decisions and act in ways that are not always bound by biology.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 10:07 AM

Unless we define the word animal differently, the correct word you are looking for is "living organism". We have the needs of a mammal but we are so much more than that. We have art, we have philosophy, political systems like democracy, hell we have tourist tours to space now, no other species wants to do something just for the thrill of it. We are not animals. The fact that we are striving to be more is a proof itself that we are not animals. Biology is not a universal excuse and in most cases …

A lion is an animal. We are partly animals but not completely. We have self-conciousness, rational thinking and we live in society when we can create laws, customs, institutions that can balance things that are unfair by biology and nature. A simple example is that we have laws that are protecting the weak which is in contrast to the natural evolution where only the strong survives. So it's not that clear cut-and-dry "take it or leave it" situation and excuse everything because of nature. When i…

Also, we have to consider the order of what traits are visible and when. Most women want both as you said. They usually ending up taking the strong guy because strength and dominance are what they can check and confirm first. The traits of the "Good" aspect are only visible only after the first step. Let's say you want someone to be A and B. The first step is to filter out the ones who are not A and only afterwards check for B.

Disagree. In my opinion those are usually the excuses of a minority of women out of fear of sharing the burden of initiating and the possible rejection that may follow. Why would a normal man even consider a woman as a "prize"? Putting women on pedestal is a view that has caused many problems in the relationships of the two genders. Also, a man who would mistreat a woman because she initiated a relationship, eventually he is going to mistreat a woman who he had pursued. He would be an asshole re…

comes from men who long for a society where women needed them rather than wanted them, and that society no longer exists I agree but I want to add to that something that I believe is crucial. Most men also see that many women -if not the most-, even though they are now independent (or close to that), they still want men who can provide for them. In a sense, these women "need" those men to -at best- upgrade/improve their standards of their living. And since now women are the ones who choose - the…

They are not passwords to be reseted, or accounts to be recreated, or group data for a marketing algorithm. It is dna, essentially your own essence, you can't change it.
