That’s because it’s our job to make people aware of men’s issues. It is not a woman’s job to represent male issues that she can’t even experience. there are still significant gender issues on both sides. Women are slut shamed, victim blamed, pressured by partners or potential partners more often (sexually) etc. feminists need to spread the awareness of those issues and should be your allies, since in the end you both strive for the same thing: fixing gender issues. Meanwhile instead of equating …

The defining factor of feminism is being “for gender equality via promotion of women’s rights” or something like that, which means that people not aiming for gender equality are definitively not feminists. But again, even if they were it’s inconsequential. They are not the majority, they just want you to think they are so they can convince more people to their side by saying “those MRAs hate you”.

Yes, but that’s not in itself a no true Scotsman. The basis for my argument isn’t that they’re not feminists. Saying “you’re not an x because you don’t do y” is not a no true Scotsman inherently, and more importantly, no true Scotsman is not always a fallacy. “Medical doctors are stupid, they’re saying that vaccines don’t work” “Those aren’t medical doctors, they don’t have any education, therefore medical doctors aren’t stupid” A hyperbolic example ^

No true Scotsman isn’t a fallacy that applies in all cases. I’m not saying “those aren’t feminists, therefore you can’t judge feminism for it!”, I’m arguing that you’re judging feminism by the loud minority. I used to judge them by the same metric as this sub, so I’m definitely familiar with the logic. I’m not suggesting to stop holding these people accountable for their shit takes, I’m suggesting to consider that they want you to be against feminists as a whole because it benefits the FDS folks…

They’re not feminists. I think this sub gets pretty much everything I see from it right (I only see it on popular) but the mentality of feminists vs men isn’t really true. The women that pull the shit in this post (and the women at femaledatingstrategy) are not feminists, they’re just assholes and sexists. Sure, they call themselves feminists and are a vocal minority, but I know so many more ‘quieter’ women who describe themselves as feminist but are for gender equality, not whatever this bullsh…

People like you are why your fucking country has multiple school shootings every week, while mine has not had a mass shooting in decades. People are bad, good fucking deduction. So what we should do is give everyone nuclear devices so the badness is counteracted by more ability to kill!

statistically women have a higher possibility to be attacked This is untrue. While women have a somewhat increased sexual assault rate (in Spain, more males admit to being raped than women), men have a significantly higher chance of being physically assaulted otherwise. Also, the vast majority of rapes aren’t committed on the streets by people you don’t know. As a man, I’m significantly more likely to be mugged on the street than a woman is to be raped.

Or just have a less shitty country where women don’t have to be as afraid - or anyone for that matter. “We got guns so now men have to be afraid too! Equality!”

He gets beat, but in the end the host and the woman lost their jobs and couldn’t find work. The guy ended up going on to have a fairly successful career IIRC.

I still don't believe it shifts blame, just that it makes you a colossal idiot.

I started to realise I wasn't going to win when I was being accused of excusing and contributing to rape.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
