I had to jump threads and take a look at your post here, I think you're right on the money on all points. There's no virtue under more direct attack these days than a traditional "gender role" based relationship. Nothing will make a woman seem weaker in the feminist sphere than deferring to a man's wants and will. They see it as betrayal of the gender, there is no feminine sin greater in today's society than taking care of a man before he has taken care of her. Meanwhile, they demand respect of …

I'm frankly concerned about this trend in mental health of convincing people they "deserve happines" and should focus on "finding your truth". I firmly believe these are concepts created to cause division and break families into pieces. Corporations benefit from broken homes, they feed on the financial instability that divorce and separation cause. Any mental health professional worth their sand would be guiding people to find happiness and love in themselves, not seek it out in greener pastures…

My ex was doing "reconcilliation" dinners with me and the kids weekly after we split, on my dime, and then she fucked up and made plans with me the same day she had a date with her new man. I came to the house (my house) and found him there, called the police and asked that he was escorted out. Next day he files a no contact order on me saying I threatened him, thinking he can keep me out of my own damn house while he screws my wife... Well, we had a face to face chat in front of a judge, I said…

Look dude I got the message from the ex once, along the lines of "hey man I know it's not my place but watch out for the selfish, the lazy, and the stubborn unnacountability. He's a felon and registered sex offender so it was easy enough to shoot him a fuck right off and go about my business... 8 years later she never took my name but wants the house. We bought the house so our two kids would have their own rooms, she moved her bf and his two kids in and now our bio son is sharing a room with 2 …

Literally nobody is going to like me saying this, but if you really want the dude gone, hire a private investigator and scrutinize everything he does. Report him to every agency you can, report him to the corporate of your old work... Basically you make yourself a burden so large that your ex isnt worth the trouble. And you are justified in doing so because the rat fuck shouldn't have access to your children or any influence over their upbringing. Your kids are statistically highly likely to be …

Its gonna hurt, but she probably spent that vacation sampling some Richard, and that's what pushed her to take the plunge. She tasted "freedom" and wants more.

I remember how it felt to be completely tied and committed to another person, and still feel utterly alone and misunderstood. And then I tell myself it is what it is and go on about my shitty little day because I've done enough mental gymnastics trying to understand why nothing is ever good enough for them, and I've got so much better shit to do...

Painful as this will sound, you need a paternity test...

I understand... It's horrible, but I understand. I cant count how many nights I'd be driving back from visiting my kids, in what was my home, and felt myself fog over and go cold when I'd see an oncoming semi or tractor... It's a feeling of control where there was absolutely none before. It was a way out of the suffering, it was that oh-so elusive final word. It felt like the perfect punctuation to the point I'd been trying to drive home for months- "We built security, a family, a life together,…

Mine sent a couple highly suggestive texts about 6 months after our split. Apparently she'd been drinking and decided to shoot a shot in the middle of the night. I slept through it, by the time I saw it in the morning she was "so embarrased" and "thankful I was asleep so she didn't make a huge mistake"... That one just about buried me...

It's a moot question. Whether they ever come to regret it or not, the vast majority will die before they admit it... So I don't believe it really matters, that's just one more "what if" to torture yourself with, and really... Why? Did she not make you suffer enough already? Forget she ever existed, because whether she's forgotten you or not, she will never give the slightest clue that you have ever existed in her world.

I think OP is specifically talking about drafting the initial court required forms. Many municipalities do not have specific documents to file certain petitions and affidavits, and smugly recomend you hire an attorney if you ask for one. In this sense, you could draft basic orders as long as you're following filing requirements with the court. You'll need to find the state, and possibly even court-specific requirements for e-filed orders to the court and use those parameters with the AI. Obvious…

Bro, you are the smallest exception, not an example. Congratulations you got lucky, got a good judge, an actually involved and passionate attorney, or whatever pushed you to your "flawless victory". Understand that your experience represents the tiniest percentile of other's. You have absolutely no clue how corrupt the system can be if you're walking around thinking everyone will have it as easy as you did.

Now I'm not saying I'm perfect by any means, but I've got 10 years on you, working on my third divorce and I've got more kids than I do remaining brain cells. I love my kids, make no mistake, but I've also watched them suffer because I chose poor co-parents for them, and that's dangerously easy to do these days. Picture me as your possible future-self and listen closely... Don't fucking do it!

Y'all miss the point, the bible was certainly written by men, and even men 2000 years ago were warning us about this shit. We've let it become an epidemic in the name of "equality"... I'll call us truly equal when there aren't 3x more men than women dying at their own hand 🤷‍♂️

She just turned 18 last month but still has to live with her mom for financial reasons, I'm currently looking for a larger house so she has a safe haven, and we're planning on me taking over medical power of attorney so her birth certificate co-signer can't make any decisions for her if she's ever incapacitated. It was a long painful road to get here, but she sees her mother for who she really is now and has contemplated cutting off contact completely when she's fully on her feet. A lot of her m…

My second oldest daughter is the result of a one-night stand with an old high school girlfriend, I didn't find out about her until she was 4, long after another man had signed her birth certificate. I rallied for years to get a paternity test, get a visitation agreement, hell even be able to speak with her. That opportunity arose last year, just after she had turned 17, her mother and I reunited and started a short-lived relationship. In the year we were together I had full, uncompromised access…

Went through something similar and it's still not settled after 2 years. We were three days from moving to the house we just bought when she said she wanted a divorce and moved everything to the new place while I was at work. Since I never "resided" there the cops wouldn't let me in and she basically scammed me out of the house without even having to file the divorce papers. Now we're all this time in and everyone tells me my house is gone unless a court makes a decision. Illinois is great man, …

I've definitely noticed I get admonished for "interrupting" more than she does, and we have about the same rate of talking over the other. In my defense I have adhd and she plays on it, she'll lie right up front then word salad some bs for three minutes straight. If I don't correct the lie immediately I feel like it gets lost and we end up arguing about semantics and dumb shit opposed to actually sorting out the issues at hand. Nothing has really changed, I'm just paying someone a hundred bucks …

That's pretty much where I'm at. I lobbied so long for counseling to improve our communication that now I'm weary of terminating the sessions "just because she was hard on me". The counselor actually apologized in our second session for being so hard on me in the first. Said she was about to go on vacation and "may have been anxious that day" smh. I've pretty much dedicated myself to 10 sessions because I've decided that my position is simple. I've been asking for closure and communication for t…

The best advice I can give you is you need to find what's right for you. You've been traumatized multiple times, the feelings you have from that may never go away, and rightfully so. Dealing with death is often simpler to process than being cheated on. You simply haven't found your fit yet. If this Young lady has to change her lifestyle to accommodate your feelings, or you have to live with underlying jealousy and suspicion, it's simply not going to work out, neither of you should be expected to…

In this day and age putting faith in anyone for a lifetime, regardless of gender or relationship is a slippery slope. Familial bonds can't even stand the test sometimes. You're only in competition with yourself, though, and only you can truly help yourself. People suck. Full stop. We simply have these one-sided encounters more with women because we choose to show them our vulnerability. Being obscenely independent and having firm boundaries prevents a lot of those encounters in and outside of yo…

Clearly coming here was mistake SMH... guess I'll try one of these counselors, they're probably a little bit more concerned with Everybody's Health and well-being than a bunch of armchair therapist on Reddit ...
