Seriously with college girls be their friends first and get to know them a little. ""Hey, you have a adorable way of walking ", don't do that type of stuff. In HS it is for sure more about social status than anything. No girl wants to be known for hooking up with the weird kid in school, no matter how confident he is. Also word would get around quickly depending on the size of your school.
