When I think of the "equal right, equal fights" bullshit I compare it to punch down comedy where comedians with a higher status make jokes at the expense of someone or a group with a lower status. I've called people out on stuff like rape jokes and they say that its just dark humor and I'm too sensitive and should take a joke. Its not a joke! Rape jokes normalize rape as something lighthearted and not as serious and traumatic as it really is. This is how they should treat every issue. I've seen things about countries providing safe rehabilitation for drug addicts so they don't have to fear arrest. Its not the government saying drugs are good but helping people out. I don't think sex work is good at all but I want these women to be able to get out safely.

I'm not very skilled to help with things like this but find a therapist and surround yourself with people who will help and support you. Don't give people who hurt you any power over your life. There's men who thrive on hurting others but there's no fun for those men when they are completely forgotten.
