They're pretty good at doing mental gymnastics, I'll give them that.

It is illegal to pay someone less because of their gender, race, religion, national origin, age, or disability. This type of discrimination is prohibited by federal and state laws in the United States, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Equal Pay Act of 1963. Under these laws, employers are required to pay employees of different genders the same wage *for performing the same job or a job that requires similar skills, effort, and responsibility. Paying someone less becaus…

Judging by the title and the last sentence, it's pretty clear that this person didn't come here in good faith. And I don't think they'll change their mind either.

I'm gonna try to be as polite as possible as to not throw insults but actually provide my thoughts. "like these are due to the patriarchy that we all live in". I'm not gonna argue whether the concept of a patriarchy is plausible in the west (I don't think it is), but I feel like the word has lost its meaning as a result of being thrown out vaguely. When we claim that the sole reason why these men are in disadvantage is because of the patriarchy, it is pretty much an excuse to brush it off while …

These people view the world as either black and white. Either you support every single one of their nonsensical ideas or you have a deep hatred for women. There is no middle ground for them.

They really think they're doing something against that invisible enemy of theirs (the patriarchy) by being pitiful and extremely unlikable. 💀

He takes advantage of young men in order to either scam them for their money or overall doesn't give the right message. He might have a point sometimes but even a broken clock is right twice a day. He is the result of men feeling left behind society and the loneliness that disproportionately affects them, but he isn't in any way the cure.

You said it yourself. I'd prefer somebody with low body counts as it can show how committed they are to a potential relationship, and I'm completely fine with my future partner expecting the same from me. It all depends on the person you ask though.

You only get birthed and taken care of by ONE woman. You don't owe anybody else anything and even your own mom won't expect you to pay back all that time spent on you out of pure love.

Masculinity isn't inherently toxic. The approach towards it however... The problems boys/men face aren't just solved by crying. What's turning most men against feminism how they pretend to want to help men, but shut them up/ridicule them for "making it about them". There is a big empathy gap with the experiences of men and women, which might lead a group of people to go solo and advocate strictly for men. They're still the minority so you can't expect everyone to go with the same cause.
/r/MensRights12/12/22 12:34 AM

Can't deny it. People are anti-feminists for different factors. At least you're able to recognize if only some of us. If there's actual woman bashing, feel free to call them out.

That 97% is complete and utter bullshit. You read that on Tik Tok, didn't you? Like seriously, go outside if you really think that's what's going on. There's this thread in Quora that deconstructs that argument: https://antifeministegalitarians.quora.com/Debunking-the-survey-of-97-women-in-uk-being-victim-of-sexual-harrasment Give it a read and feel free to tell me what you conclude out of it
/r/AntiFeminists11/12/22 04:10 PM

Is that 97% statistic of sexual assault on women even credible? Last time I checked it was a survey conducted on a THOUSAND people (correct me if I'm wrong)

Feminism is a movement. Women are people. Not all women are feminists. Not all women are hypocrites. Nuff said
/r/AntiFeminists11/12/22 03:36 PM

If being the voice of "reason" is encouraging taking fear out of proportion, then he is the voice of reason alright. (Bit contradictory, innit?) You won't get downvoted as different perspectives are valid. We would be hypocrites if we censored them like in any feminist subreddit. Now THAT is an echo chamber by the textbook definition.

Don't want to diminish the victims of sexual assault, but I can't help but wonder how many of the cases reported play out just like this one.
/r/AntiFeminists10/12/22 08:00 PM

Ah yes surely the law will be applied equally in the place where male rape victims aren't even recognized as such. /s

Some people really need to stop taking things out of proportion. But if you point it out, be prepared to be called a sexist pig.

"good law if inforced both ways" judging by how men can't be raped according to the laws in the UK, you can bet it won't.

If you're open to learning about different perspectives, you're more than welcome to stay here.
/r/MensRights09/12/22 06:38 PM

And then they brush off the blatant misandry in their movement as "not real feminists" what a load of hypocrites.

What on earth do they want then ffs
/r/AntiFeminists07/12/22 07:43 PM

Good question. My take on it is that there are some hypocrites out there, and while their actions are encouraged by other mentally ill people, we also need to consider that nobody is actually calling them out for their nonsense, as feminism is quick to attempt to disassociate from these individuals by labeling them as "not real feminists", so in other words these people are able to spew their hatred without repercussion.
/r/MensRights07/12/22 05:22 AM

As someone who lives in a third world country, I can tell you that feminists here are a different breed of insane.

/r/AntiFeminists05/12/22 05:24 AM

/r/MensRights03/12/22 02:32 AM

What a bunch of pathetic individuals. Imagine lacking so much self love that you hate yourself and half of the population over something they can't control. You don't get to treat others the way you don't want to be treated. Us men really need to stick for each other as nobody else will. There's nothing wrong with being born male. You don't own anybody anything for things you weren't even alive to witness.
/r/MensRights03/12/22 12:29 AM
2

Let's not go down that route either.
/r/MensRights01/12/22 01:34 PM

Whataboutism.
/r/MensRights01/12/22 01:31 PM
2

While I don't agree with some of the things they say, I think that a good take on it would be to understand the root of issue in order to solve it, and I don't mean it in a way that justifies their actions of hatred, but as a way of helping people out before they get in that loophole by understanding why they got there in the first place. Feeling hurt by personal experiences is valid, hurting others because of it isn't.
/r/MensRights01/12/22 12:52 AM

Technically speaking she is right. When a woman does it it's called "fOrcInG hErsElF" and the young boy is supposed to enjoy it. /s On a serious note, can't wrap my head on how this mentally ill woman has a platform. Doesn't she have a son too?
/r/MensRights29/11/22 05:01 AM

Wouldn't say leave her as some people here, but do evaluate some aspects of the relationship.
/r/MensRights27/11/22 02:54 PM
2

I think that if both of them are in perfect condition to work they should, as relationships are based in cooperating with your partner, but of course an agreement is necessary so if one of them wants to stay at home and the couple can afford to do so then I see no problem. With children I say it's absolutely crucial for one of their parents to take the parenting role more frequently. But, as I said, it's what works best for them.

Boy you messed up there, you should have known better to not do things like that informally. I mean they did lie to you but it still wasn't the smart thing to do. It's a very complex situation so I hope that whatever happens benefits the child.

Can you provide some articles on this? I genuinely want to know as I legit had no clue it was that common. Better be safe than sorry.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 09:22 PM

I understand, but let's not forget we are talking about a select group of people who aren't willing to listen to different perspectives, making any attempt of having a civilized discussion with them pointless. There are people out there you can have a meaningful discussion with so why bother with these individuals?
/r/MensRights25/11/22 07:43 PM

You don't get banned for posting a different opinion here. You'll get downvoted into oblivion, sure, but you won't be outright silenced.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 12:11 AM

I wholeheartedly agree. That's why I specified it's some of them.
/r/MensRights24/11/22 09:19 PM

Some people are just reluctant to both accepting different perspectives and acknowledging the flaws in their logic. They can be dangerous individuals but you simply won't get them to change, they are the ones who have to put in the effort, which they mostly don't. It's just how it is.

"I’m pretty sure all the richest people are men, so why do you feel below women?" While a good portion of the wealthiest people are male, please keep in mind that they represent the minority of men as a whole. Men are disproportionately affected by homelessness and often are excluded from shelters in favor of their female counterparts. Some men have to work in terrible conditions where there is risk of death in order to provide for their families. Boys have been falling behind in education for t…

Gonna have to respectfully disagree. When we have such a large group of people being affected by the same issue we have to look for other factors that could help us to find out what is going on. The truth is that, for the last 30 years boys have been falling behind in education in western nations with the system not responding to their needs as students, which contribute to a higher number of dropouts. Childhood trauma could lead to drug consumption, alcoholism, etc. If left unattended, which is…

While some people are going way too extreme and far from the original message, male victims tend to be erased rather often. Completely diminishing other victims isn't right, but I don't consider that it happens as often as with male ones. You can read articles which go somewhere along the lines of "1/4 of homeless people are women" which is bad, but signaling it out as if they were the large majority affected by the issue is rather insensitive if you ask me. Sometimes the problem is not making t…

/r/MensRights21/11/22 03:17 PM

I'd say it really depends on who you come across with. There's a good chance people just misunderstood what you were trying to say and jumped straight into conclusions. I'm sorry you felt excluded as different perspectives should be valued the same.
/r/MensRights21/11/22 03:07 PM

I'd say there's a good chance some of the male victims are just random civilians too.
/r/MensRights21/11/22 03:02 PM

I get where you're coming from with this. But at this point the situation has gotten so bad it has become more of a violation of human rights in general. Even if it's not reported as such it's pretty much what it is now.
/r/MensRights21/11/22 03:00 PM
2

I think he didn't mean it that way. More like not wanting men to die as they are being disproportionately affected. I believe this has to do with the poor choice of words in the article regarding the victims.
/r/MensRights21/11/22 02:54 PM

If you're that obsessed with what a select group of people has to say, you're the mediocre one.
