I acknowledged there is nothing wrong with lending a helping hand to a friend, and being truthful is part of the game. Being truthful and shaming are two different things.

fat people deserve up shamed.< Wrong they need to be left alone. It's not our job to run around fixing people we don't know. TRP is about self improvement, not bullying others into improvement. Of course if you want to lend a helping hand to a friend, family member, SO, or etc that's a different story. But I'm not going to go around bully others for their bad choices.

By far the best post I've ever read on TRP. I originally came here to learn more about self improvement and being a better man. Most of what I see however is anger toward and demonization of women in general. And stories with varying levels of veracity about juvenile sexual conquests. Great post my friend, I hope this helps change the direction of this sub.

You're right actually, she's not a clear enough example. I'll speak for myself. Politically, I'm clearly left, but I find many of TRP theories very true, especially the self improvement part. I just don't like when people automatically classify anything they don't agree with as "left" especially when I'd argue some of those things have nothing to do with left or right.

Presumably, but in that case going off to war was is a much more important than the alternative. Also, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the military. Being in the military is all about leadership. From the lowest private to the highest general, the goal is to strive for higher levels of leadership. In fact those who don't advance in rank after a certain time are removed.

Well thought out, but I wouldn't bother with any of this. The more over weight guys there are, the more SMV I have. I'm not attracted to over weight women so I would never find the need to explain this in detail to one. Just my view.

Trust me, I am liberal, far from libertarian. But I'm not a socialist either. However I think out view of socialism is a little skewed these days. For example, I"m in the military. The military is a socialist program that benefits everyone, just like welfare of social security.
