A recent study showed that under 20% (I want to say it was just above 10%) of eligible youth would actually enlist if a massive conflict arose, which, in my opinion, means probably fewer would really go through with it. Let me see if I can find a link quick

Go to a local bakery or coffee shop that you both have never had. Take a drive into the city and just adventure around the urban jungle. See if there's any plays at a local theater. See if any good bands are touring through your area; if she wants to go, you already know you have music taste in common. See if there are any places nearby that host slam poetry. Go volunteer somewhere together, like a local food bank or library.

Honestly, I actually hadn't even thought of it in that way, I probably came off a little dickish. Yikes.

True, but it wouldn't make much sense to fight the bigger bear and play dead for the smaller one. And yes, you were perfectly right, I never said anything about fighting or playing dead. It's a little hard to be wrong about something one didn't even touch on, no?

Always good to find another! I was always getting confused when I was at Philmont, but I eventually got it right by the 7th or 8th day out there haha

Actually, that's backwards. (American) Black bears aren't much bigger than your average man, and rarely eat anything that isn't a plant, and when it's not, it's most likely something like bees or larvae. There are only a few recorded instances of a black bear eating something bigger than a fawn or a moose calf. Brown bears are pretty fucking big and have a reputation for trying to make a meal out of anything at least once. Source: am Eagle Scout and have a Google

I apologize. I really don't have a good excuse here other than laziness and failure to double check what I c+p'd into the link bar. Another commentor posted the correct link in a comment above. Seriously sorry!

If by feminism you mean the whole "the patriarchy is oppressing mah womanhood and humanitehs", then I agree wholeheartedly. I see no reason for equality, so long as it is truly equal. I know several women who call themselves feminists who don't want to be put above men, but be equals.

I'm normally a little upset at the male-sexism posts, but this is literally making my hands shake I'm so mad. Holy shit. Fuck those people, and fuck people who think like that. I can't even right now

I've decided to lean more towards how many men are being victims of sexism in the feminist movement (i.e. many of them taking the perks of being a man and a woman without wanting to accept the negatives of each), with an emphasis on the male rape issue

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
