How come we don't advocate for more men to work in female-dominated fields? Two issues with your argument here. More women work in STEM than men already. The medical field is part of the sciences, and the BLS statistics show that there are more women in just the medical field, than men in all other STEM fields combined. The invalid argument is to get more women into STEM careers because of the perceived status and money. It has nothing to do with male dominated fields, otherwise they would have been arguing for more women in the oil and gas fields and decades ago. In sh… | /r/MensRights | 05/11/21 01:27 AM
USA: Seven boys - one who identifies as nonbinary - sue Texas school district for punishing them for breaking its male-only ban on long hairNo offense from me, I'm genuinely looking for your view point on it. I used to agree on having strict dress codes as a way of helping to enforce order. My last two years in HS the district I was in instituted uniform requirements. I didn't like it at the time, but it helped with some issues for sure. It also caused a few. Aside from girls being allowed to wear skirts or dresses that matched, hair length, earrings, and a few other other things I may be forgetting, it applied to everyone the same … | /r/MensRights | 22/10/21 11:31 AM
USA: Seven boys - one who identifies as nonbinary - sue Texas school district for punishing them for breaking its male-only ban on long hairThe issue with the rule is that it applies only to male students, making it gender based discrimination. Don't get me wrong, when I grew up the rules were the same. Guys seemed to have to follow stricter dress codes in school, including hair length. I didn't agree with it then, but it was always a a losing battle for some reason. I'm glad to see it still being pushed back against. | /r/MensRights | 22/10/21 11:12 AM
USA: Seven boys - one who identifies as nonbinary - sue Texas school district for punishing them for breaking its male-only ban on long hairSure, if they're treated equally. If there's a rule against styles, colors, and length, it should apply to everyone. | /r/MensRights | 22/10/21 11:04 AM

School bans students from having beards or facial hairMeans hair length, guys can't have long hair. This was the norm for public schools all over where I grew up. No facial hair, hair couldn't touch the collar, etc. | /r/MensRights | 18/09/21 11:54 PM
Based - also there are MORE women in STEM than men, feminist gymnastics say otherwise by taking out Biology, Genetics,Medicine, Dentistry, etc from STEM definition and adding computer "science" in... basically certaing a selective buffet of subjects to get the headline stat you want for your agendaThat's my thought too. I don't care about pushing people one way or another as long as everyone has an equal opportunity. The false narrative is what irks me, it's more damaging to any cause in the long run when someone can point out that you don't have a valid argument again and again. | /r/MensRights | 04/01/21 10:54 PM

Even if that were the case, point remains, math is still part of STEM. | /r/MensRights | 04/01/21 10:50 PM |

When I started my MS in Cyber security the first class was basically an intro to online learning and Master's level course work. Our final was to write a well researched, and scholarly (well written, cited, fact based) paper on any current topic in our field. At the time the "Women in STEM" movement was getting big, so I figured I'd write something simple about that, cite some numbers, highlight opportunities, etc. Mostly just to have a something with a lot of discussion poi… | /r/MensRights | 04/01/21 06:23 PM |
Based - also there are MORE women in STEM than men, feminist gymnastics say otherwise by taking out Biology, Genetics,Medicine, Dentistry, etc from STEM definition and adding computer "science" in... basically certaing a selective buffet of subjects to get the headline stat you want for your agendaYeah, computer science would fall under technology if not science. That said, I wrote a paper on my Masters program on this, the numbers of Women in the medical field alone exceed the numbers of men in all other STEM fields combined. Being a tech worker, I hear the "we need more women in STEM" line all the time, see the scholarships, support, etc. Growing up with a family that worked on oil rigs, I never heard "we need more women in the manual labor fields", though that's where there is an actua… | /r/MensRights | 04/01/21 06:16 PM
16yo friend spent 1 month in jail due to a $10k bond for sexting a girl who led him on, and never mentioned her age...Your friend needs to contact an attorney now. If he's on the list, he wasn't just charged, he was convicted. Since you've stated that your state has since changed the age to above 16 to be tried as an adult, AND he was actually a minor when this happened, he should be able to get the record sealed and possibly expunged. It doesn't solve the underlying problem, but without details there's no telling what that problem was. I'm a big fan of "Romeo and Juliet" type of laws, and suggest people resear… | /r/MensRights | 28/12/20 02:03 PM
Now bare in mind this came after the boy scouts of America were sued to allow girls to join. Now they try and recruit girls they are still wrongMy understanding is that organization is joint, but individual troops are still gender separate. So boys are still going camping with just the boys, and same for the girls. | /r/MensRights | 28/12/20 05:39 AM
