0	Florida Get's Rid of Lifetime Alimony Mixed feelings about this. Honestly it removes a possible tool in negotiations; house for lifetime alimony for instance. These are all legal agreements at the end of the day, that both sides had a hand in. She's a twin, so everything has to be with her twin and her family, who would also just crash trips if she wasn't specifically invited. Also three more sisters who were constantly bickering, plus a dad that liked to play head of the family but would never actually make a decision, causing the sisters to bicker even more about what was happening. 2	Why do wives try to show minor affection during a divorce (living together)? Could be manipulation as others have said, but could also just be habit. It's weird living together after the bomb has been dropped; it's where I am currently. 13	My wife wants a divorce because different views on spending, am I better off just letting her spend rather than get screwed financially by the divorce anyway? I just filed, and I'm a little further along then you, 15 years in and 45. Wife lost mother early in life so has a very live-for-the-day attitude, and while we're both high-earners we're constantly stressed and broke. I just got sick of being the bad guy for every single decision. I am upset that she spent the tax/mortgage/credit card payment? I'm the bad guy.
