Ever notice how the big push for women in male dominated fields only exists for the “good jobs”? (Women in tech, etc). Nobody ever complains about how we need more garbage men who are women or more soldiers or welders who are women. And what about the other way around? There are all kinds of female dominated fields like teaching but I’ve not seen a push to get more men in there so what gives? These people are hypocrites seems to me. But yeah, pay gap is a myth, there was a Forbes article sometim…

I appreciate the citations, will go through those later. Broadly speaking, it seems to me you’re correct, but I’d be open to hearing what other people think. High effort post OP

I get where you’re coming from, it does seem like there are a lot of double standards floating around. Regarding the OP, I think I disagree that the current state of male sexlessness is being exaggerated — it’s pretty bad right now and the divide appears significant looking at online dating statistics, books like Dataclysm, speed dating stats, that kind of thing. For whatever reasons we do see a big asymmetry between men and women where broadly speaking women appear to be the choosers/selectors …

“Women don’t give a shit about men as a group” This has been my observation as well. I don’t understand why someone can expect men to care about the issues they face when they so clearly start out with the assumption that men hold all the privileges and any problems men claim to face don’t exist or aren’t relevant in their minds. It probably doesn’t help that instead of unifying, men tend to compete with each other — it seems to me that broadly speaking women have been better about banding toget…

“There’s honesty no point in discussing this post further than that because the entire thing is based on a false premise to start with. That’s modern day feminism for you. People always talk about how women had a role society didn’t let them deviate from, but nobody seems to acknowledge that so did men (and men still do while women actually have choices today).

The way that paragraph from the study is phrased makes me wonder if this is a chicken and egg type problem. Was it that their sex life was already bad and/or they have a dead bedroom so they opt to view porn more frequently OR does viewing porn itself lead to dissatisfaction? For me, I tried pretty hard off and on to drop porn and have sex more often with my partner, but they’re just not very interested in sex with me much to my dismay — I don’t think we’d ever have sex if I didn’t actively push…

Good comment, the OKCupid founders book Dataclysm is a gold mine for stuff like you’re describing. As are online and speed dating stats in general. I’m not upset by the way things are, I’m upset by so many people denying it — it’s grating when we have the data right in front of us, yet so many refuse to acknowledge what’s true when it doesn’t benefit them or their image. If I hear one my fucking reditard claim someone is “misogynistic” or an “incel” for discussing and acknowledging the data sets…

People should just properly articulate what they mean to avoid the whole problem and confusion to begin with. Just say “some women” or “some men”, etc — it’s not that hard to be accurate in what one is saying and you side-step the whole “not all women”/“not all men” responses at the start. I genuinely do not understand the defense of “oh you know what I mean, stop being pedantic” if the starting comment was inarticulate and leaves room for being interpreted differently than it was “allegedly” in…

I did actually please refer to my original comment. Or are your referring to my speed dating/online dating point towards the end? If so: Contrary to what seems a popular misconception, on average women are in fact more picky regarding their mates than men This same phenomenon also occurs in speed dating tests too.

The point is not that, “A movie said it therefore it’s true” — the point is instead simply that this is something that people have been aware of and that’s been discussed for a long time — long enough for the idea to make it into films that are mainstream for example. I really don’t care what your opinion of men or anecdotes are, reality is determined by valid studies and evidence which demonstrate what I’ve said rather clearly — many outlets like Scientific American and Psychology Today have ta…

Your point is actually correct and doesn’t really invalidate the OP. “Men and Women Can't Be ‘Just Friends’” “Men and women can’t be friends because the sex part always gets in the way” - Harry Burns, When Harry Met Sally Men typically want to fuck their female friends while women typically don’t want to fuck their male friends hence why the “friendzone” exists to begin with. If a man is “just friends” with women currently and historically then yeah — they probably should expect to get friendzon…

I hear you mate — what gets me is the apparent double standard. Either none of it is OK or all of it is and the selective application of the rules like we’re seeing is hypocrisy.
