As it stands now, yes I am dropping any expectations of having anything more. Who knows what the future holds but I'll figure it out if it happens. I'll also be shipping out of country for 6 months but I'm going on a tangent. The only thing I regret is not being able to get through to her, albeit one month isn't a lot of time for someone to open up an introvert. I had no dating profile, work, or class to help ease the transition. That was an uphill battle.

This is true, it went about as well as things could have gone. I had a tendency to really implode bridges in my past, and against my close friends advice I decided to leave it at being open to her at a later date. We are pretty different personality wise. She being introverted and me being extroverted. She didn't really open up as much as i had hoped. About a month is still early I guess. Ah well. I am not familiar with the degrees of Kevin bacon game, but I will look it up after this.

UPDATE: I saw her today and told her pretty much that. She said she had a fun with me too and that she understands. I didn't get an apology or whatever, but I wasn't expecting it. I know her personality and it can come off as cold.

I have a lot of work to do in myself. I put to much pathos into my writing. When all I really need is just those statements that you described. I think it best I tell her in person? I'm not so sure. I feel like her texting me put our dating in the super casual category, so I should reciprocate She isn't the greatest texter so unless it's a direct question I don't think I'd get a response. And yes I did wish her the best of luck somewhere in my reply to her. Lol

I was thinking something along the lines of "I valued the time we had, I would like to be friends with you, but I might need some time to reset myself." You're right in that some things are better left in my thoughts, asking why this or how that doesn't bring it back nor do I really want that back.

I am leaning more and more towards seeing how a friendship would work out. I do see her in person but would it be appropriate to send her a text? After all she did send her rejection through text as well. Probably to avoid confrontation. Edit: I didn't necessarily ghost her. I did tell her I thought it best we not stay friends. My usual go to is to just cut them out of my life... with the occasional bridge burn. However, recently reconnecting with an old flame from a long time ago made me realiz…

It wasn't slimy of her to date around I agree, I just wish she was more forthcoming with the situation of seeing someone else. I will make a note to assume in the future that a girl is probably taking to someone else besides me. It takes two people so I know I should have probably said something as well. I would consider a friendship with her but I declined knowing that I needed time for myself. if she really wants to be friends then it doesn't have to happen right away. I tried to be cordial th…

It just sucks becuase I did like her, but I guess it was better it happen now than later on. She sent it through text for fucks sake even though I saw her they say before, and had plans to see her Saturday. Unfortunately a lot of my experiences are short flings, or long drawn out toxic relationships. I was hopeful this would be different but I should not have had expectations without knowing her true intentions.

I really don't, I asked her out for a reason. I took her out on dates for a reason. I took a ballsy risk, not to call her my friend, but something more. There really isn't anything to salvage. Anything possible was destroyed... I'm still going to have to see her though. Do I ignore her, or do I just act like nothing's bothering me?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
