How do I reconcile this seemingly opposing ideals? You're absolutely right. There's nothing physically stopping me, only my own understanding of the framework and structure. I will take this advice, and take action. There is no downside to this. Thank you for your response. | /r/askTRP | 24/09/18 10:12 PM
How do I reconcile this seemingly opposing ideals?Sorry, I do not mean to imply they are opposite ideals. Rather, my concern was giving my body appropriate rest, so as to take care of myself and not risk any major injury. I have a very high opinion of lifting, as it was my main physical activity before dedicating myself to an Ashtanga practice. From the replies in this thread, It has come to my attention that I need to be flexible in my discovery of what works for me, and take action instead of looking for an answer from someone else. Thank you… | /r/askTRP | 24/09/18 10:11 PM
Genuinely want to learn from this shit testReally, thank you. I'm basically having to fight against every single one of my "instincts" each and everyday. Trying to rewire my behaviour (which have been embedded in me my whole life, and only recently learning they're completely useless), and consciously watching my thoughts and actions is exhausting, but I know its worth it. Reading simple comments like this, where a stranger on the Internet is telling me its not only okay not to break, but is the correct response, is immensely supportive … | /r/askTRP | 22/09/18 12:15 AM
Genuinely want to learn from this shit testDid pretty much exactly this. No reply. Ah well, moving on... To victory! | /r/askTRP | 21/09/18 07:17 AM
Genuinely want to learn from this shit testThis was immensely helpful, and a welcome reminder that TRP does not mean "be a dick", which I often find myself having to reconcile, as I'm just not that person in any way, shape or form. Thank you for that, I truly appreciate it. | /r/askTRP | 21/09/18 02:36 AM
