In a study of 17,337 survivors of childhood sexual abuse, 23% had a female-only perpetrator and 22% had both male and female perpetrators. ( Dube, Shanta R et al. “Long-Term Consequences of Childhood Sexual Abuse by Gender of Victim.” American Journal of Preventive Medicine. (2005):28(5), p 430 – 438. 45% so you are right that men still do the majority of child molestation but not by much. And given that no one has ever really thought to look at this problem until recently and it is one of the m…

Liz you can contact me (and us) on the contact form on our website www.female-offenders.com. We can possibly help you not only with some personal stories but by putting you in contact with others (both male and female) who have been sexually abused by women.

Sixty-five per cent of the survivors who tried to tell a therapist, doctor, teacher or other professional were not believed the first time they disclosed. Overall, 86% of those who tried to tell anyone were not believed the first time they disclosed. From - http://www.kidscape.org.uk/assets/downloads/Femalesexualabuseofchildren.pdf

You can send her to this link also - http://female-offenders.com/Safehouse/2010/09/toptenmythsaboutfemalesexoffenders.html There are over 500+ studies there as well as videos, book listings, etc. Women can also rape women.

So what is your point? We should all just ignore any victims of sexual violence except those that are male perpetrators - female victims? As was pointed out programs that focus only on male perpetrators and female victims are addressing only half of the problem. I would say even less than half because they miss the male - male, female - male, and female - female victims. Sexual violence in all forms needs to be addressed, not just a few select populations.

Or how about the recent study presented to US Africa Command about Conflict Related Violence in the Congo. It Stated, in part, this: Women reported to have perpetrated conflict-related sexual violence in 41.1% (95% CI, 25.6%-56.6%; n = 54/148) of female cases and 10.0% (95% CI, 1.5%-18.4%; n = 8/66) of male cases. And here is what two of the authors of the study had to say: These statistics challenge the paradigm of male perpetrator and female victim, and also highlight the importance of improvi…

"how forcing boys to pay for their rapists' babies is like forcing girls to give birth to their rapists' babies." That already happens.

Idaho and Georgia have laws that only a male can commit "Rape". Idaho - 18-6101. Rape defined. Rape is defined as the penetration, however slight, of the oral, anal or vaginal opening with the perpetrator’s penis accomplished with a female under any one (1) of the following circumstances: Georgia - 16-6-1. Rape (a) A person commits the offense of rape when he has carnal knowledge of: (1) A female forcibly and against her will; or (2) A female who is less than ten years of age. Carnal knowledge i…

Different names, different sentences. And it may be equally illegal to commit a sexual offense against either gender but that misses the point. If you actually looked at the article you would see that it is not possible, legally, to "rape" unless you are a male and the victim a female in some states and according to the FBI UCR definition.

"simply means that Idaho defines rape as penetration" - Wrong again. I would ask that you read it again. You seem to keep missing the salient point in what appears to be an obessession with the word penetration. Here I will help you: Rape is defined as the penetration, however slight, of the oral, anal or vaginal opening (key point) -> with the perpetrator’s penis <-(key point) accomplished with a ( key point) -> female... <- (key point) So it is not my analysis, that is how it is written.
/r/MensRights11/01/11 05:47 AM

Wrong. Again you take others to task for not reading statutes properly and again you do it. It is not my analysis, it is how it is written. I agree that of course it is the same thing but legally Idaho says it is not. What part of that slips by you? And again you fail to show how the law states RAPE can be anything other than a male perpetrator. Until you actually show that you are just wasting time. You already made my point though when you wrote "technically, under the legal term of art "rape"…

Research so far says no. In fact some who had been abused by both men and women stated that they felt the abuse by a female was much worse. - http://tinyurl.com/26eoc6a Honestly it comes down to each individual case. There is no one answer. Some have little or no lasting negative consequences, while others may have long term lasting consequences.

But that is not what you said and I am not ignoring anything. 18-6608 is not Rape under Idaho code and "similar" is not the point. And NO a female can not "rape" a male under Idaho law. You took some other poster to task about being bad at reading statutes yet are you not doing the same here? You state "Yes, a woman must still penetrate a man to have raped him under Idaho law" so please show me where it states this is "Rape" in Idaho law? Not "similar sentencing guidelines" but termed "Rape".

How is male only perpetrator inaccurate? You seem to be misreading the title I think. Perpetrator does not mean victim. The perpetrator can only be male regardless of the gender of the victim. So again please say how the title is wrong? "and by women against men" Show me where it says that in either the Idaho or UCR example please. Notice in the Idaho examples it clearly states "perpetrator’s penis" for male and female victims. Edit: Also while you are correct that the UCR is not law, it does ha…

One thing many people do not consider is the impact of the FBI UCR definition. Over 40 states report to the UCR and even though the definition of "Rape" in that State may not be gender biased it can be skewed when they report it to the UCR. Starting on page 19 of the FBI UCR handbook they state this: (Forcible Rape Defined) "The carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will" Carnal knowledge is defined by Black’s Law Dictionary, 6th ed. as “the act of a man having sexual bodily conn…

"And I would wager all the money in my pocket that you cannot find a single current state law which defines rape (or the equivalent offense, usually sexual assault) as purely penetrative" Idaho: 18-6101. "There is no state I'm aware of which defines rape as "penetration"." You are wrong, VERY wrong. Look at Idaho for example: 18-6101. Rape defined. Rape is defined as the penetration, however slight, of the oral, anal or vaginal opening with the perpetrator’s penis accomplished with a female under any one (1) of the following circumstances: Or how about the FBI and how they define it for the UCR: "The carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will" (pg 19) Carnal knowledge is defined …

Here is something that may help. It is titled South African Epidemic Of Schoolboy Sexual Abuse. By the age of 18 years, two in every five South African schoolboys report being forced to have sex, mostly by female perpetrators. A new study, reported in BioMed Central’s open access journal International Journal for Equity in Health, reveals the shocking truth about endemic sexual abuse of male children that has been suspected but until now only poorly documented. http://female-offenders.com/Safeho…

Because of course women don't rape other women in prison? Seeing as the new prison rape report is out and it showed "Female inmates in prison or jail were more than twice as likely as male inmates in prison or jail to report experiencing inmate-on-inmate sexual victimization." -http://tinyurl.com/32opmd8 BOTH genders experience prison rape. I wouldn't say your position is PC but rather uninformed.
