On the other hand, you are predisposed to reject very attractive men if they are obvious assholes. Don't you think this is just because, (a) it is such a common trope and you don't want to say you indulged in it, and (b) that you know that they can get laid anytime they want (depressing your "specialness")? These notions trump your lizard-brain response. Maybe? Again, I've never put too much thought into it (like I will now... apparently). I wouldn't say it works like catnip haha. He'll get noti…

I know this is late but I had to reply 🙃. You’re correct, I don’t know if I believe that or not. It was just a surface thought and i’ve never really had any type of in-depth consideration about it. I hope you’ll give me some leeway for my ignorance here, in the past, I never thought about any of this type of thing when dating. Option 1: you can be sweet, charming, romantic, etc. and marry these women and be their comfort guy a.k.a. Beta Bux. Apparently these women don’t want to have sex with you…

I guess I just assumed (which I know I never should) that by this age people would be over all ‘that’ (should I, shouldn’t I, is he/she going to commit, call/not call). I also assumed that it was easier for men just because they usually have a larger lake to fish from because of ages. (I really don’t want to date a 20-year-old… I really don’t even wanna have sex with a 20-year-old, a lot of 50-year-old men do). Maybe I’m jaded. I love to be in love! Sometimes it lasts a week, sometimes it last m…

I find it baffling that people put this much thought into relationships with the opposite sex from your 20’s straight through to your death bed. We all have problems, issues, hang ups, etc. that make us wonder once in a while however, to read the subs on Reddit it seems like some people spend an unhealthy amount of time thinking about it. I’m 50, Five-Oh... I’ll admit I do look a lot younger but I don’t think that I am way above average looking and I wouldn’t have to rely on a steady relationshi…

I think it’s funny also. I’m 5’ 7” so I’ve never dated a man a foot taller than I am. I actually don’t mind whatever a mans height is, if he can be secure with it. That’s not usually the situations I’ve come across.

I mostly just lurk here and comment seldom. Does this happen often? Is this a thing outside of a ONS? Why, as a woman, would I be with someone who played games like this? It seems like it would be obvious. Also, why would two grown, mature adults be in a relationship where sex drives were not at least somewhat equal, sex was not met with as much enthusiasm by each partner and this games had to be invented? Can’t women turn this around and manipulate sex in the same way? This whole thing confuses…

I don’t have a s/o atm. I need a healthy balance of both. I realize nobody will ever be 100% of everything to one person but I’d like to get my marker as close as I can. Sex is extremely important to me in a relationship. I’d say as important as personality. If he wasn’t sexually attracted to me surely it would affect our sex life therefore affecting the rest of the relationship.

No! If I was able to enact a penalty strict enough to discourage to average population from doing it, I’d ban lying to get sex.

I’m older and I’ve had men my age still pretend to be younger than I am. 3 of the recent men right upon meeting face to face actually said what amounted to; I wouldn’t have even messaged you but you look a lot younger than your age, I’m surprised it wasn’t photoshop. I’m older than my profile says I am. I say I’m younger because I look and act younger. Don’t you agree? Ugh! So fucking crass. I might have played it off if they weren’t so rude. I told each of them “no” or that they didn’t look lik…

It does sound like a porn scenario ha ha. Yes, I am white, fairly attractive middle-class American. I’m sure this has a lot to do with it. This has happened in five different states I’ve lived in. It’s only funny to a point. When you get into the aspects that you brought up, it’s really rather sad. I had a date who was not of my same race. He was pulled over, handcuffed, and sat in the back of a police car while they ran his drivers license. I happened to be with him. I was just asked to stand t…

I don’t think “most of us”. I know this is common for a lot of people I know. However, I truly could be wrong. I don’t know everybody and I don’t know most situations. I do know that it’s unfair. Again, I’m not willing to beg for a ticket and pay the state to make a statement that will help no one.

I call it “vagina privilege”. Do I think it’s fair? No. Am I going to ask for the ticket? Also, no. If I’m especially nice to female officers and let them know that they have all the power, they appreciate it and just give me a stern warning.

I’ve been pulled over numerous times, clearly guilty and never had a ticket, even by female cops. The only ticket I ever received was when I actually got into an accident. I was at fault. The officer profusely apologized and asked me out to dinner. They guy I hit asked me out to dinner. I drive much better these days

apparent ob nurses have to ask the woman if she’s getting abused or not and if everything’s ok at home every time they visit. This happens at all doctor appointments, not just OBGYN appointments.

I feel like I’ve been listening to this in one form or another for months. S.T.O.P.I.T.

Funny! Until reading all of this, I always assumed it was women who were more lonely.

I actually feel myself getting embarrassed and blushing just thinking about the way I used to act. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ve been pulled over multiple times and only ever had a ticket once. I have positively been guilty of what I’ve been pulled over for. I’m not sure if this is the same thing, but I’m not going to ask to be ticketed. However, I don’t really consider either predatory if we are dealing with adults.

If you were set on doing a movie, that would be the best scenario. I'm kind of shy and if I didn't know my date at all, I might feel awkward sitting through a movie right after being picked up for a date. lol

Dinner is okay, depending on the person. However, I think a movie is always a bad idea for a first date.

I don’t ever complain about “shitty men” not approaching me. In fact, I think women complain less about men than men think they do. However, I don’t approach men I may be interested in because the men I’m usually interested in are men who prefer to do the approaching.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
