Apparently these people don't have a solid grasp on irony. "The discipline has devolved into an “intellectually incoherent and dishonest” one, she argued... It champions a “kind of masculinity that isn’t very masculine at all,” and shuts down freedom of debate"

This doesn't belong here. Read the Mod Policy conveniently located on the right side bar. Linking to SRS and SRS posters is a waste of everyone's fucking time.

Can we not post SRS screen shots. It doesn't belong here, thats not what this sub reddit is about. The worst thing you can do for this sub reddit is to follow their formula. Are you surprised that something like that was posted there? If the answer is yes, please lurk longer.

This is a ridiculous question that you have now posed twice. We are biologically driven to avoid death. And in the case that someone does go against that, ie suicide, it takes something akin to courage. Please don't encourage suicide on the internet, its a fucking stupid thing to do.

I thought the same thing. I do agree with Revolutionaryfaggot (I want you to know I felt stupid typing that out) though, Clinton should have thought about how this would translate into a sound bite. However, the surviving significant other, regardless of sex, is the one that has to deal with that grief.

Well, if anyone is interested, I have just completed my undergrad in Art History. I'm looking to apply to conservation programs or curatorial programs as a back up for my masters. Art is, aside from my significant other, the single most important part of my life. I studied it because I was interested in the fact that art is just another way we can understand and interpret the history of politics, war, science, gender, etc. You name it, and it can be discussed through art. Not only that, but we a…

Oh, I wasn't offended, really! I honestly want the criticism. It will help me clarify my opinions around the issue.
/r/MensRights11/12/12 05:11 AM

I would gladly, however I emailed it before I posted this. I am glad to have your correction though. I won't make the same mistake twice.

Care to explain?
/r/MensRights11/12/12 04:17 AM

Is that a trick question, like 'haha you'll never get work', or are you genuinely interested?
/r/MensRights11/12/12 03:25 AM

Well it will be pretty obvious to the TA marking my assignment that I am a woman. But I don't think that is what you were saying. It's pretty upsetting that you and many other people would be surprised to find out I'm a woman. I feel like a lot of woman see these issues as a problem and understand that our society is failing us.

I'm not sure why I would need to be a feminist for them to find my opinion valuable. Should I have said I was?

Ugh, that completely undercuts my argument! Well, thank you for the correction. I will use the proper distinction next time and hopefully avoid looking like an asshat.

I understand that. I think I could have phrased it better too. I just wanted it to be relevant to her situation and make it clear that telling university students they are automatically shitty because they are men could have adverse affects on their mental stability.

Thank you. I hope so too. I know my Prof is a redditor, but I think her opinion are in line with the guest Prof's. I doubt she subscribes to MensRights.

This is excellent. I'll add it to my christmas reading list.

I felt like by pointing out that young men are privileged, without knowing the personal story or background of each individual, is a gross generalization. She made a point to say that each man should recognize their over privileged status in society. (edited because I had an extra word in there)

Thank you. I meant the tone to be very non-threatening. I didn't want to come across as aggressive as she had. That doesn't foster discussion, it just hinders it by putting peoples backs up.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
