1	'Freelance journalist' tells it like it is regard nerds/geeks My experience too. I have received lots of random acts of kindness from guys. Never from a woman that I can think of. Of course, in the situation you describe, their excuse would be they want to but due to "rape culture" it would be too risky. Imagine if you raped her while she tried to help you.
