2	Why Being Polite is not Beta Exactly. That is a concept that while I can't always apply to myself, I can completely understand. There are two categories. Gets A Pass and Doesn't Get A Pass. Like you said, when it comes to your plate or your immediate family, altruism may not be where you start off but it will be where you end if you're taken there. 13	The lost art of friendship. I think the rise of the more shallow forms of friendships coincides with the rise of facebook. Before, to know a tenth of the information that a standard Fb page has, you would need to hold a conversation. Actually hold a conversation, which is a dying art. I have friends who either form into a kind of cult that is very hostile to others but don't let the members out. College and institutions in general suffer from this greatly. 1	[Meta] Why are the majority of people so shut off to objective debate? Not much changed. My thoughts on this subject was expanded and this sub made me even more interested in it. And funneled the information with enough argumentative bodies surrounding that nothing is ever propped up and put on without some skepticism. Always willing, if I know what I'm talking about.
