Animes in general are full-on pro-gender-roles pieces of media. They are demeaning to both genders to a point that I don't understand why they are so popular. You get a woman freely attacking a man just because they believe the man dishonored her. And you get hypersexualized women and panty shots. Somehow a lot of people... Enjoy it? Or tolerate it just to get to that "friendship makes me powerful" moment that happens every 20 episodes, give or take.

I don't see how "social, economic, and cultural bias against women in the US" explains why feminist and anti-patriarchy mock men who show emotions and present themselves as vulnerable. Also, you previously defined patriarchy and matriarchy as systems that uphold strict gender roles and toxic masculinity or femininity respectively. The biases you are referring to would be part of the strict gender roles. Why do you then consider that as proof that a patriarchy exists and not a matriarchy?
