"No u!" Your greatest life accomplishment consist of being a misogynist with anger issues due to his crap life. Always stay the course, champ.

A marriage and strict monogamy is not "natural". It does not correspond to our basic animal instincts and urges. Exactly. Plus I'll add we're not built to mate in our older years (prehistoric humans didn't live very long anyway). Hell, even the smell of older potential mates turn us off: http://www.webmd.com/brain/news/20120530/do-we-smell-our-age#1 In previous animal studies, Lundstrom tells WebMD, researchers have found that body odors carry age-related information. Animals can detect and proc…

You're talking about two different things and confusing those things with one another. You're assuming that women who have high standards in terms of how good looking their partner are will necessarily have a very high n count and will ride the "cock carousel" (another favorite RP expression I read here very often...not that this never happens irl but as with many things it's insanely exaggerated by RPers). In fact, I even remember reading studies which showed there's a reverse correlation with …

I told you, please stop projecting. You're so dead inside, you're basically already dead at this point anyway. So I guess because you'll never accomplish anything of worth, trolling misogynist comments all day is your greatest life accomplishment huh.. Also, you said you weren't gonna respond anymore.

The (unattractive) men around now are still actively trying to shame women for being sexually selective (and not screwing said men). You can see that on plenty of subreddits. While it may not be as bad as physically controlling women's choices, it's still shitty.

Because a woman who sleeps with guys she's attracted = cat lady. Sure. Have fun being a bitter old man because you didn't get any sexual successes in your youth.

Seemed I touched a nerve. You responded to a week old post just to post that, holy crap.... I'm sure you're an intelligent, handsome and not at all bitter dude and women are not running away from you whenever they're in your general vicinity and that you're not a general misogynist AT ALL...roll eyes and you're stupid if you think that women have no control over who they are attracted to. that is the dumbest thing I have read in a while tbh. And you're projecting hard right now. Anyone who thinks…

How the heck are they "fundamentally changing themselves"? They have access to some kind of machine to change their genetic makeup?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/16 01:29 AM

Once again, nailed it. In nature, it's usually a very bad idea for low worth/genetically inferior males to go around posturing like that (see the "signaling theory" or "honest signal"). Behaving like can have dire consequences for the inferior/unfit male.

Yep. Chad is attractive in spite of his douchey (well, often anyway) behavior. Not because of it. But this is exactly what PUA/redpill etc tried to argue: emulate the behavior and get the same result. Chad's attractive because he exhibits high mate value qualities (good genes; tall, good proportions of features, developed secondary sexual characteristics etc). As a result of his success his behavior is often very confident or sometimes even downright cocky but it is a result of successes. Plainl…

If these women can actually get the Chads but will not (because they don't have to) screw the unattractive/ugly guy (who is supposedly in her league) then she is in the league of Chad regardless of what the delusional unattractive guys thinks. It's them who are aiming out of their league (including when they set their sight on the supposedly ugly women). It's all determined by the market, not you.

Contraception wasn't really a thing 100,000 years ago. Our instincts are still adapted towards finding the hottest, best looking, genetically fittest male around.

Women are making the best of their fertile years by getting with the most sexually desirable males around. Why resent her for it just because you drew a dud at the genetic lottery? I mean, I'm sure men go out of their way to screw women less attractive than they're able to attract, right? Yeah exactly. It's hypocritical as fuck. Foh with that red piller whining...

Weird how unattractive men are complaining now when they were historically the ones who restricted women's choice (forced marriage etc). Now that the tables are turning, they don't like it very much. Sorry this is nothing compared to what happened to women historically.

I disagree. We talk about rape culture when we didn't in the past. We've adopted the affirmative consent for colleges (and likely will adopt it as a legal standard in the future) when it was originally mocked back in 1991. We're making great progresses and we've been extremely successful in changing attitudes towards rape but of course there's ton more work ahead.

It's good for the men in the sense that it favors more equality. So if you're a man who's in favor of more equality then feminism is good for you. But if you just want to keep holding on to your privileges then I guess feminism is very bad for you. Again: when you're accustomed to Privilege, equality feels like oppression.

Men lose out greatly in such a structure though. The women pick and choose which men they want to sleep with. It's pretty bad that this is somehow, you know, not somethings that's common in most cultures :/

Yeah, ignoring her body language towards you is usually a great idea. Totally not creepy or anything. Though thanks for acknowledging that if we don't fake some smile with a "no thanks but thanks I'm flattered" line afterward we do risk getting "socked"/assaulted because "bitch should've just said thank you". Are you seriously asking how to have some basic empathy and being able to read the complete lack of interest of a woman before imposing yourself? It's not hard. At all. Just gotta see women as human beings first. And yes this is what I was talking about: conflicting messages. She's not interested. She doesn't have to smile, say "thank you I very much appreciate the compliment and appreciate the gesture but unfortunately I must decline but thank you anyway". Women don't owe you a smile and a "it …

What would completely hiding the disgust accomplish? I mean don't get me wrong I don't make a scene, but how are undesirable men supposed to receive feedback if you're giving them no feedbacks as to how we perceive them? Same goes for attractive guys; how are they supposed to know we find them desirable? Yeah; feedback. People will get a sense of their dating/mating demographic based on how you respond to them. A lof of guys here complains about how they've been lied to but when you're honest (e…

I'm one of those pesky women who react negatively and sometimes with disgust when a man I'm not attracted to is ignoring my disinterest and pulling his unwanted attention on me. There are LOTS of us out there... Don't resent women for being humans, the ensuing bitterness will only make it harder to find someone.

If they actually try any kind of interaction with me, yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 11:27 PM

Yeah, sometimes it's the best course of action. Unfortunately, some guys will even take the most fake smile or the shortest one word answer as invitations to continue the interaction. Best you can do imo (and no: there's "perfect" way to act in all scenarios of course) is to give the quickest response as the situations allows to get get your butt out of there as quick as possible.

Pretty much. To all the guys complaining about how it's unfair to be judged before even opening their mouth and why "can I has approach girls?", blame the climate that has made women more cautious/on guard. Blame the shitty males iow.

Ok, let's say you have the right to harass her or talk to her when she doesn't want to...okay, so now what? Is that going to change her mind or make her less uninterested in you? No, you're just making her uncomfortable and while that may not be illegal, it's still a shitty thing to do...plus it's not going to up the guy's number of "closing" anyway...so what's the point? The fact you know it makes her uncomfortable and she doesn't want you approaching makes it looks like it's just about about s…

The "massive" issue is she's not attracted/interested in you (which I don't think is a massive or big deal honestly). Believe it or not we don't need to talk to a guy to know whether we're interested/attracted or not.

Hm, they do it all the time. You just have trouble with it or can't read their body language.

In sales if I didn't approach people whose initial body language didn't say they wanted to be approached I would never get any leads. Yeah, ignoring those signs when you see them is generally called harassment in the context of approaching women. When it comes to sellers in stores, it's annoying yeah but that's their job and at least your free to leave the store.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 10:22 PM

Which you can't know until you approach someone? Are you being serious? You can't actually tell if someone if completely uninterested (she doesn't look at you, she's not smiling, she's backing away from you and is generally being creeped out etc etc etc)...You can't see those signs? Really?

Her desire to not interact with you takes precedence over your desire to interact with her it's as simple as that. Freedom of association. More generally, it's a shitty thing to do to impose yourself on someone who doesn't want to have anything to do with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 10:06 PM

Not necessarily but 99% of the time it's done by some creepy guy that ignore your lack of interest (if she's trying to move away, doesn't answer your comments and generally body language that says 'get away from me' then back off)

Wow, I'm sure you're a catch with the ladies and not at all bitter from being found unattractive... Finding above average men attractive is as universal as men usually preferring 20 something than 80 something women. Hating women for something they have no control over...their own preference and how they organically react differently to different type of men (attraction/revulsion) make as much sense as hating men for preferring (other than the odd cases) younger women. If an "average man" is una…

I doubt you're a 1...a 1 would be an advanced case of Treacher Collins syndrome or something. You're probably just a regular unattractive guy who hasn't learned how to properly adjust his standards. Good question. I think a lot of males had it drilled it in their heads that by virtue of just them being themselves they can get the prettiest, most attractive girl when they are the complete opposite: unattractive losers that aren't interesting or exciting.

I admire your diligence and patience in rationalizing. What they're arguing and what you agree is basically "Why would the group which you're interested opinion of you have more worth than the group you're not interested?" "young girls that choose the hot asshole are immature. When they get older they'll realize looks aren't everything This is true to an extend. Except "when they get older" means when she hit menopause. Which makes sense in a reproductive way. I think the problem is a lot of guys assume it mean around 20 when she's no longer in high school which couldn't be further from the truth
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 05:58 AM

Somewhat disagree. Certainly there are guys out there that don't have any success but that's because they are delusional and expect to get the 10s when they're 2s or 3s themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 05:54 AM

No it's not, but if they do focus on attractive women (which seems strange and a bit hypocritical if they're as you said unattractive) then I could see that as being creepy (and the intent of the guy isn't as platonic as you say it is else they wouldn't especially approach attractive women, heck why even approach women at this point could just as well approach men to talk platonically with them).

OR, you know, women have more sexual freedom than in the past and we're progressively doing away with old, patriarchal imposition of traditional monogamy and gender roles and women are actually fucking who THEY want?

Yeah, just a bunch of losers, creepy manchildren who took their resentment of women (mostly due to girls and women exercising their agency and not wanting to have anything to do with the creeps since forever) online.

You're definitely right that, unlike men, women aren't naturally attracted to average men. While resentment probably isn't the most productive emotion for you to have, given what you have written you definitely don't appear misogynistic or entitled imo. It's hard to know reading just a single post of course. You should be careful about your resentment however: women cannot help being solely attracted to the genetically, sexually fittest males (or "Chads" as they're called here) any more than male…

I thought she was a bit older than that when she was with him, anyway it was just an example. I'm not talking about what people "should" or should not do, I'm simply stating how (younger) women are most likely going to react and why.

Feminism is simply about not constraining women to a single, predefined role: you want to be a traditional stay at home wife? Great! Then you can be that. You want to pursue a career? Cool, you can do that too. While I think we should be able to criticize Feminism and I never thought it is or ever was at any point perfect, 99% of criticisms of Feminism basically come down to a straw-feminism argument.

It's not about what's fair or not. Like I said, it's about reproductive imperatives (especially those of females because those have infinitely more values than those of males which are more disposable). Ashton Kutcher is not going to get Demi Moore knocked up and everyone who's not a moron understand that so there's less "ewww" factor (though I think there's still quite a bit of it) than the other way around. Is it "fair"? No. but "it is what it is" as they say. Why do you think incest (say betw…

Excellent explanation. Some people still seem to think that "toxic masculinity" refers to everything that's masculine when it's only certain elements that are toxic.

I called it discouraging and explained why it makes reproductive sense for women to try to dissuade unfit suitors. Unwanted attention (attention from males judged to be undesirable) is something that all women find repulsive on a visceral level. Comparing it to slut shaming is a false equivalency and anyone who's not completely obtuse would realize it. When you get unwanted attention from guys two times your size that'd like to show you a good time (your consent being possibly optional) then we …

But "Old women are ugly and have baggage. Young women are dope as fuck" apparently...(not a quote from me!) In taking account all that, you should usually also consider the primary demography that this group is trying to attract (young women judging by a lot of the responses/reactions) So, recap: we're trying to determine at what age men SMV peak. You say: lots of older women are more attracted to older men (35+) hence that make their (older men's) SMV rise. I say you have a valid point, but I a…

Old women are ugly and have baggage. Young women are dope as fuck and get my fantasy spinning just by walking by. Well, if you're an old dude sorry because those young women want guys their age. I also find it sickening that you so readily promote sexuality shaming. It's obviously a social construct that holds them back. It's just like slut shaming and should be abolished. Not really. As far as women are concerned, it makes good Darwinian sense to "shame" (or more accurately put: discourage) olde…

SMV is purely based on how physically attractive someone is. The point is that even good looking guys were better looking when they were younger. You don't see a lot of young 19-20 girls saying 'Brad Pitt' is hot because now he's old. Like I said SMV is not the whole story anyway, RMV also count (although maybe less when we're younger) but the thread specifically mention 'SMV' so that's what I originally responded to.

22 yo female. When I see older 35+ men I see "gross". My perception will no doubt change with age but my point is: that's how these older men are perceived by young women. I didn't meant to say they were seen like this by all women.

Only men who have an inferiority complex about their lack of sexual success, those who have some kind of unrequited sexual desires in their youth, and those who have a crippling feeling of low self-esteem, think that women in their teens and 20's are the be all and end all. Omg you hit the nail on the head and explained it better than I could. Thank you for shedding lights on these guys/creeps anyway lol Not only is it creepy but it isn't even something a well adjusted older man would do.

35+ yo men can be successful with women close to their age. Yep. I seen plenty of guys that age have success with women that are age appropriate. Young girls in their early 20s just think/feel it's creepy as shit though. At that age you just want to have fun with a cute guy in your age bracket.

For pure fuckability: Early 20s for men (and women). Anyone arguing otherwise is delusional and/or lying to themselves (I mean, we are talking about 'S'mv, right?) so yeah, more attractive: better fuck (obviously still plenty of unattractive dudes in their 20s needless to say) that's just the way our brain is wired, doubly so for women since men can still get some pleasure out of fucking women they're not attracted to and the fact that men are attracted to a much larger percentage of women. Yeah, early 20s (21-22) is about right, same for women really. Men are really delusional when they think they get more attractive with age (because wrinkle skin, white receding hair, sagging balls that are 10 times worse as sagging breasts, moobs, old man smell and god knows what else is soooo attractive right?). Gross. The worse is when they think we are attracted to said old men. Really, I've never met a young woman who could even stomach the thought of being with a 35+ year old guy.

Alternatively you could see that as women exercising their preferences and not, you know, men "taking" many women away from other men. Unless you support forced marriage or something nobody is taking away these women from other men because they weren't interested in those unattractive men to begin with. You're definitely correct OP. The average men is order of magnitude less attractive to us than the average woman is to the average man. Ergo the average woman is more attractive than the average man. Factor in the fact that there is a sizable part of the male population less than 6 foot, more than 35 etc etc and you end up with a large part of the male population that's just fundamentally unattractive.

Even if you're a total loser, you will be perceived differently if you have good looks. I disagree on this. If I see a really good looking guy, there's a much lower chance of me perceiving him as a loser. Conversely, if I see a really physically unattractive guy I might instinctively see him as a loser. Your scenario ignore mutual desire which is a big part of what sex positivity encourage. In the scenario you describe the man desire the woman but the woman doesn't desire the man at all (else you can be sure she wouldn't have reacted that way if she thought you were good looking and wanted to fuck your brains out).
