How threatening are they, if at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/25 11:49 PM

Lol, troll harder.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/25 11:47 PM

Go for it! Cooking can be lots of fun. You can also impress the girl you're pining for.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 05:43 PM

Come on, you're smart - just follow the recipe!
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 05:33 PM

It really depends on what you're struggling with. If starting or keeping a conversation going is hard for you, focus on improving that. If reading social cues is tough, try to be more aware - maybe even ask your friends to give you some feedback. If you feel like you're boring, try picking up new hobbies or doing things that get you out of your comfort zone. If you're super jealous or dealing with anger, trauma, or mental health stuff, therapy can help. Same goes if communication isn't your stro…

Do you pine strictly for nuns?

I tell him all the time that he needs therapy.

I don’t think you can really rate someone’s personality with a number, it makes it one-dimensional. Being a nerd doesn’t mean you’ve got a bad personality. And calling it a "bad personality" is too harsh - it’s more about whether someone’s traits vibe with yours or not, like compatibility and what you personally find attractive.

It really depends on the girl. Some develop feelings over time as they get to know a guy better, others overlook major red flags, because he’s hot or good in bed. Same goes for guys too.

It's annoying, but he's not a bad person.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 04:53 PM

Yeah, both matter, but people put way too much weight on looks overlooking everything else. It's easier to blame your dating issues on your appearance than to admit it could be your personality or social skills or beliefs that are the real problem. Of course, there are people who really do struggle with their appearance, but a lot of people in these spaces have body dysmorphia.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 04:06 AM

Honestly, I have no idea why you'd bring up guys who can't even get women to talk to them here.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 03:50 AM

Disagree. It really depends on where you are, how old you are, and who you're around. A young liberal guy’s got way more luck in NYC, but he’d probably struggle in Texas. A middle-aged republican? He’d probably be fine in the Bible Belt but would have a hard time in NYC.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 03:32 AM

What does it have to do with what I said?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 03:28 AM

Guys don’t realize how much personality matters. I’ll start talking to someone and think I might be into them, but then they say something that clashes with my values, and it’s just...yeah, nope.

What do you mean?

It's an ocd or something similar, the mechanism is very similar to what guys are doing here with thousandth post about dick sizes.

Flies right over the head of dick-obsessed guys here.

Hope he's up to a threesome with another guy.

I don't dislike him to this point, and he struggles already. I just hope he'll get therapy.

Read the post in the comment below. Guy is mental.

He seemed to be okay, but his certain views made me see him in a worse light. We study together - I do not choose to spend time with him intentionally.

It's not that I want him to fuck off, but I can't be his permanent crying pillow. We aren't even that close. I also know for sure that he's judgmental as fuck himself, so even if I wanted, I wouldn't share my stuff with him.

He feels safe enough to talk to me., but I'm getting tired of it, because it isn't reciprocated.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/25 06:41 PM

There's whole post <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/25 06:40 PM

The guy catfished his ex's lover and got details from his ex herself. The guy has smaller dick (!), but foreplay is apparently better, so she's into it. <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/25 06:40 PM

Let's keep the daily alive.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/25 02:58 AM

Are we talking about sex now? I don't like dealing with sperm anywhere outside of creampies. Smell and texture just put me off.

We have classes together, and I feel he can't open up to others for whatever reason. I just wish he had another outlet.

Doesn't want to.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 07:13 PM

Lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 07:11 PM

I tell him to go each time.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 07:10 PM

I get what you're saying, but he has a girlfriend and another group of friends outside of college. He clearly needs some therapy, but men are so averse to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 07:07 PM

You might see signs that aren't there.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 07:05 PM

I don't hate him, but it feels one-sided. I can complain about my mundane things, but I'm not a person to share my deep worries with a guy I've met just this semester.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 07:00 PM

I just complain back. I'm not depressed, so it doesn't work as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 06:54 PM

We're all math nerds.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 06:53 PM

I befriended one of the guys in class, and god does he like offloading his mental load on me. He's complaining more than all my girlfriends together.

I went to the club first time in my life, because my new friend invited me to go with her girls. Not my type of having fun at all, and I do not have any appropriate clothes. I looked like a teacher there.

He's 34. If he struggles a few more years, his dating pool will have even more divorced women and single mothers.

I wish his ex gf heard his complaints.

One of my male friends is complaining that he can't find a wife, but I saw him fucking up his relationship with a good LTR-material girl a few years ago, so I feel no sympathy. It's a good thing they didn't marry, because he wanted to fuck around more, but now he struggles with meeting someone suitable.

Aiming for younger women just narrows down your dating pool.

If you can't date young women, you shouldn't date anyone. Did I get it correctly?

How would you know whether she'd date you in her 22?

That's the weird thing - it's not that I do not get support or external validation or that I was denied them as a kid. Now I deny myself and I'm wondering how I've turned out this way.

I've noticed that I rarely enjoy my achievements. It's always not enough and inner criticism that I could have done better, but I don't hold other people to the same scrutiny. I aced my previous exams, and I spent more time thinking about those 1-5 points I didn't get.

Really tired. I have so many assignments and I have exams in a few weeks.

I got close with a few guys in college, and it seems they really enjoy just having an ear to talk about their lives and some things they're worried about. I know 3-4 times more about them than they know about me, which I'm fine with. It just does not follow the usual male-female friendship dynamic described by PPD men.

Men's day or women's day are both kinda weird beyond the talk about genders' issues. Do we just congratulate men/women for being their gender? Do I buy my partner flowers for the men's day? Congratulatory blowjob? But he gets it regularity, so it's not that we need a holiday for that. Inb4 angry guys, we do not really do anything on women's day.

My point isn't that it's the same for men and women. My point is that you don't even try, you won't get anything, and I see a lot of people, girls and boys, not trying even in one of the most sociable environment.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 08:51 PM

This is a common reaction even for girls. If there are some people you connected, they'll talk to you, but the rest will just return to their own things unless you actively engage with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 08:16 PM

Is it a metaphor? From what I've seen people say "hello" to you, if you greet them yourself. I don't think it's the same, but the basic concepts are similar at least for platonic relationships. I talk to a few guys who have similar experience trying to find new people to hang out with.

I'm talking specifically about college.

I see guys here claiming that women can put no efforts into their social life and still get positive outcome. That's just not true. It works this way for most people when they're in a highly social context. It can be different for people who are ND, but they're a minority.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 07:44 PM

It's not easy, and I'm self-consious when I do it. I still do it, because I want to meet people.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 07:42 PM

It's harder outside of college, so people should do their best to socialize while they're studying, but I see so many people fail to do so.

I returned to college recently, so I got a lot of exposure to young people in a social context. If you're warm and approach others, you'll find someone to hang out with and people will notice you. If you just sit on your phone with your headphones all the time, you'll struggle with making connections. It sounds like such a simple concepts, but I see so many complaints from students online struggling with socialization. It isn't even gendered - I'm a woman, and I have to approach new people. I ha…

Is it purely an appearance thing or cultural difference too? Indians are way more conservative and even if you're a second generation, you're still affected by your family and your parents will judge your partner.

You called your fellow brow women "low value". What does it make you? Where do you live? In a huge multinational city I see mostly Asian + Asian couple. There are some mixed couples with white guys, but not that many. Can't speak for brown guys, I see them mostly single or already with families married within their race.
