I agree. But I'm so dependant on women for my confidence. Being accepted or rejected has been what made me feel good or bad about myself since I began dating. I realize logically what I'm doing wrong but as soon as I'm talking to a hot girl I immediately am thinking LTR and pedestalizing her.

The Abundance mentality is hard for me at this point because I've only fucked 7 different girls. 3 of which were LTRS. And I have no game or confidence at this point, just got out of a 2 year relationship where I didn't even look at another girl.

I love the analogy. I've been pretty dependant on women to feel confident and happy with myself for a while so I was thinking I should do monk mode, to learn to be happy on my own. But literally everyone I've asked tells me that banging chicks will help me more, so not completely sure which route to take. I spend ALOT of my time reading RP material.

I've been with 7. I know that's a low number, but since our breakup I haven't had much confidence or game. It's never been a super easy thing to just go out and fuck women, I'm an attractive but skinny and not very confident dude.

I was very needy, and I depended on her too much for self esteem and happiness. So her leaving me was almost like all of my self worth being taken away.

That could be useful. Before my relationship I was able to approach girls more, but since she broke up with Me my confidence has been at a bare minimum. I want to socialize but new people make me extremely anxious.

I used to own the book but never actually read it. I'll give it a rent from the library. You're right, I just don't feel motivated enough, every time I go out with the intention to meet people I just feel depressed, it sucks how much the breakup fucked me up.

Thanks man, I see this as a wake up call to improve myself and my life. Im going to put more effort into my hobbies and work and stop focusing on her so much. I've realized that I'm extremely dependant on the approval of woman to feel good about myself so I'm thinking of monk mode for a bit.

I go out with the intention of that, but I just have no confidence. I feel like a person nobody wants to be around, and like I just want to be hanging out with her again. I don't want to be the guy who can't get over his ex but I can't help it.

Same here, I just moved back home from whistler. There's no mountains here and it's summer though.

Sometimes I wish I went to university just for the social aspect of it. Whenever I've tried taking classes it ends up being older guys with families. Even when I go out on bike rides or go to the bar most people I see are way older than me. I don't mind talking to older people but I want people my age to hangout with. Im not really a club guy either

Well said, that's a fantastic way to view everybody. I hate the fact that I'm so judgmental but haven't been able to change it. I will focus on viewing people in this way. Thank you.

It's hard now because I feel like I'm not myself anymore, I have no confidence without being able to get it from her. I know it's unhealthy but I've been depressed because I'm so used to having someone there to make me feel better, and since I don't have many friends anymore I feel like a loser.

Thanks for the response, I need the motivation some days more than others. I'm looking into gyms and classes to enroll in as well as reading lots of self help books. I aspire to become me 2.0

The first two days I felt distraught by it. The rest of this week I've felt more like I just need to get on with it, I'm no good at grieving.

That's true. I guess it's hard to imagine having great memories with another person because I've never been in such a committed relationship before.

The problem here is I feel most girls are just so boring, I went on a date today and just completely checked out halfway through.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
