Because people classified as male shouldn't have typically female features (like the ability to be pregnant) and vice versa. Other than you, says who? How does this explain: intersex people, chrosomal abnormalities and mutations, the fact some men/boys develop breasts, the fact some men/boys can lactate, the fact some women can grow fairly full beards and/or mustaches, etc.? Clearly biology has some wiggle room that allows for men to have female traits, and vice versa, without ending society as …

There was a study about men's responses to women who are smarter than them.[1] Men who were told that a woman outperformed them, but who did not witness her do so, were more attracted to the smarter woman than the dumber woman. However in a live interaction they were less attracted to the the smarter woman. Few problems with that. The first and most notable is that it doesn't control for culture vs. biology. Hasn't been replicated in other cultures, or really anything you'd need to determine whe…

We men will often be hesitant to date women who are more intelligent or accomplished than ourselves The entire theory hinges on this being biologically ingrained in men, and I do not think that is true.

And the people like /r/TheBluePill who have successful relationships without the abuse and hating women? How come the "lies" worked for us? I'm just saying man, the plural of anecdote isn't data. Throughout your entire story, all you've managed to reasonably prove is that there are at least two anti-feminists in the world.

Where did I say that there are no moral implications to any of it? You said it many times, here is one: Red Pillers make fact-claims, Blue Pillers make ethical claims. TBP, as a sub, is about moral indignation and it's thinly disguised as "satire." TRP, as a sub, is about making fact-claims (which could be, and often are, false) and making connections between such claims (If you do X, Y will result). So what you're saying is that TRP just deals with what's effective, and the question isn't "How …

No one, to my knowledge, has made that a hypothetical imperative in TRP sub. Yet if TRP is all just a giant thought experiment devoid of morality and TBP is wrong in assuming any morality would come out of it or affect what is said in any way (what should be done vs. what works best), why wouldn't TRP be doing that? Raping a woman would arguably be the most effective way to get a girl who is out of your league into bed with you, if not morally sound--if you are smart about it you have almost 100…

Then really if TRPers are ignoring all morality it should be a guide on how to lock up a woman as cheaply as possible after abducting her. That would be the most effective way at getting the woman you want--damn near 100% chance really, and gets past there being boyfriends in the picture, or you not being attractive enough.Yet that material isn't featured, while many other crimes such as sexual assault, rape, assault, gender discrimination, etc. are still featured. If morality wasn't in the pict…

Three senences in and he started telling me what I believed, despite having told in the thread that I disagreed with it. Not even just that TBP in general believes such, but he started attacking beliefs I personally have. It would be one thing to say "TBP has a tendency to believe X en masse" and even then saying that about TBP and TRP would be different since one is a philosophy and trying to teach people, the other makes fun of you. Anal_Pro_Laps, endorsed contributor until he deleted his account. I mean advising a man to force his wife into sex she doesn't want and advising him to gag her if she said no, that's not feminist corruption of rape. That's just rape. But instead of killing him, he just kept him an EC. Same with mr. "She already said I do" when asked if it was okay for a husband to physically force his wife into sex if she didn't want it.

I said a THEBLUEPILL user. Valerie Solanas is not only a TBP user, she would never be welcome if she could somehow join. She's kind of crazy, hateful and an attempted murderer. I don't have the link, I don't have the context. Go ahead and ask him yourself if he posted this. And you know what, I still have 150+ other comments from mods and ECs of your sub, many saying worse shit than that screenshot. /r/PurplePillDebate23/07/14 05:47 AM

Why? One of his own appointed mods (in a move he supported) used that logic, so if a woman should have to accept responsibility for 100 people doing something she didn't want them or invite them to do, why can't he accept responsibility for his own actions leading to a ban and his own words leading to debate?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/14 05:44 AM
0

No it wasn't. And no it didn't. That wasn't about hypotheticals at all. They were speaking in present tense. The mods can take a look at it. And if I was trolling, why did RPS delete his post history RIGHT after I posted it?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/14 05:42 AM
1

Then what was the context? Since you already know so much about it that you can dismiss it without asking for more information, please, feel free to tell me. Also, not trolling. The mod team here must either unban RPS and allow him to speak in his own defense, or remove specific references to RPS and any other banned user. The mods have already clarified RPS is allowed here on alts if he chooses. He broke the rules, why should they unban him? He's not permabanned on any and all accounts, so if he thinks he can defend himself he is free to. RPS broke the rules, he can deal with the consequences. If we called for a TBP member to be unbanned, you would say the same to us.

He got himself banned from here, too, don't forget. Love this logic. Woman shows her breasts at a concert and gets swarmed by hundreds of people and groped? Asking for it. When you follow somebody who believes consent is implied in marriage and look to his community that he started from the ground up for help with women and relationships, yeah. If an /r/knitting mod went crazy and racist, one could argue they didn't think the bias would affect their moderating abilities. Here, his bias and hate will clearly impact his decisions--and has clearly affected his decisions.

There's really not much backing the racism thing idk why it gets tossed around so much. It's the others that get racist.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/14 05:24 AM

That isn't insulting. Quoting. Calling him a white supremacist is a bit much, but otherwise it is just asking what TRP thinks about his own views. Calling him crazy is editorializing it a bit, would many TRPers really be offended if views that (at least we perceive) to be encouragement of rape, white supremacy and removal of womens' suffrage to be labelled as 'crazy'? And it wouldn't even be insulting him if you believe it isn't true, or if you could prove our views were the crazy ones.

Yeah, but when your classes are things like "Interacting with women 101" and "How to Push Through LastMinuteResistance 2441" and "Having Happy Relationships 4113" you really don't want somebody who believes marriage = consent teaching you your course. Not a big fan of it either. I think (in a lot of ways) marked preferences are brought about by racism because society is still racist in a lot of ways, but at the point you are old enough to be sexually developed and mature, it's probably too late to change, which throws a wrench into it. And it's not like anybody makes a conscious decision to be affected by subtle racism. I feel like it's too complex of an issue to make a snap judgement on, even on RPS.

Feminism is not (always) anonymous. TRP is. Also, it has been around for two years. I'd be willing to put my life on the line to say that if TRP and feminism were created in the same year and had the same amount of relative exposure where there was a significant population whose name would be revealed, there would be more violence from the one whose uncontested leader supports rape and removing voting rights.

Feminists have tried killing people, written a manifesto generalizing all men and then justified killing them. Can't talk about the first one for I don't know any of your IRL identities, but TRP Endorsed users have called on murder of judges (and had that highly upvoted) and said they would murder innocent minorities indiscriminately if one wronged them. It is not an opinion but a tautology to say "murder is wrong" because "murder" is by definition wrongful, illicit or unlawful killing, as opposed to "homicide" which is a morally and legally neutral term. Since the wrongfulness of murder is part of the definition it's not an appropriate analogy. But if RPS is defending rape, it is already implied to be legally wrong. Murder and rape aren't comparable. Murder, when not wrongful is self-defense, maybe war, or other situations where murder is legal…

The comment where RedPillSchool said "Sex within marriage is already consented to" was in reply to "Marital rape is possible". Is. Present tense. He wasn't talking about it not being illegal in the past.

In a debate that is calling into question RPS's definition of "rape" I think it makes sense to use other words to describe what is meant. Unwilling sex puts it clearly so there's no room for misinterpretation. In a reply to the sentence "Spousal rape is possible", present tense referring to today, RPS said "Sex in marriage is already consented to". What the law said in the 1990s has no play on this discussion anyways.

Meanwhile, TBP does ban on sight dissenting or "triggering" opinions. I have been banned three times. The first time, deserved, for trolling. The second two times were a year later. Of course I do. I have a responsibility to let the cheating spouse do it first, but afterwards I am 100% responsible. What if the cheater catches an STI? What if she becomes pregnant/impregnates somebody else? What if the cheaters actions are the result of sex addiction or some other problem? Their SO should know so they can help them. Just turning my head would be selfish and potentially dangerous.

They are single, they're not really doing anything wrong by having relations with anyone. Do they not have an inherent responsibility to let the SO who is being hoodwinked know of their partner's infidelity?

I think it would be better to phrase this for the TRPers who avoid marriage. It has always seemed like a 70/30 split of them. Edit: Also, /u/danabanana9 is supposedly an older RPW with a (slightly older iirc) husband. I can think of one RP relationship that seems to be withstanding the test of time.

Me saying your sentence was phrased in such a way it seemed to imply soulcakeduck was the OP was considered a 'mock train'? I said the idea soulcakeduck did it was laughable, you said you never said it, I pointed out where you had said it. All you needed to say was 'oh shit, my bad, what I really meant was x, y and z'. and it would have all been cool. I asked you if it was not the most logical interpretation of your sentence. They're also highly irrelevant to the topic, and an unpopular thread. "Can we show love to Redditbots?" "Yeah I think we should kill all men, that sounds fun." If TRP had a topic entitled "Are the admins in cahoots with SRS?" and somebody responded "Yeah I think you should just rape your wife, that will fix all of your relationship problems", I would be equally suspicious of the lack of relevance to the topic it was posted in.

You literally just said it is a troll because it falls into line with soulcakeduck's--specifically soulcakeduck's, not BPers in general-- view of how TRP-aligned folk see rape. Really the most logical interpretation of that statement? Edit: he deleted his comments I guess?

It is pretty standard to block out names in posts on reddit for their own protection. If you are worried about the image being a hoax, perhaps a PPD mod could contact the OP and verify the comment exists without unleashing a harassment brigade on the poster?

TBP wasn't jerking and parodying the fact you admitted to taking responsibility for a failing marriage, that would make a very pathetic parody sub. Whether or not you align with RP or BP beliefs I am sure you can find what is illogical about the claim that a TBPer would make a parody going 'ha! Look at this guy! He is taking personal responsibility! Noob!'.

I think you misunderstand. I'm not asking for TRPers to tell me whether they are misogynist or not, I'm asking what they think misogynists are like. So when I asked that I meant why do they see themselves as different from misogynists. I was looking for a bit more about how TRP sees misogynists and how they differ from their own views, either TRP views or views they held. 100% rape. She raped her boyfriend, and there's no question about that. The original post was no less rape than this post is. If SH's post hadn't been linked, I would have made TRP's general consensus that he hadn't been raped its own separate post. Edit: Let me rephrase: Is rape, might not be because of fucked up statutes in the area where it took place. Should be legally considered rape, but might not.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/13 05:05 AM

I personally don't care what people get off to in the bedroom--at least if they are being safe, sane, and consensual. The problem was in SH's story he highly implied a lack of consent.

You could say that falling asleep revoked consent, but tbh I find it a bit hazy and would be hesitant to label it rape. I would call that rape--or perhaps sexual assault, depending on the differences in statutes, etc. He used sex as a weapon. He was upset, she had passed out for whatever reason, it is heavily implied that this wasn't discussed beforehand (as she was angry in the morning), and he purposely ejaculated on her face as a punishment so to speak. Furthermore the post implies that he wa…

Could you please elaborate? It sounds like you are saying a misogynistic stance would be the only honest stance when dealing with women; it makes me think we may be using different definitions of misogyny. Are we talking about sexist statements that some may consider apparent truths (ex. Men are better at Math), or are you trying to imply that misogyny (tradtitionally described as a hatred of women) is the natural response towards women? Furthermore, if you meant sexist statements (which to your…

We seem to have the same definition of misogyny so I really don't have any questions about your answer, but if you don't mind me asking a personal question: How do you reconcile these beliefs with affiliation with TRP--or RPW in your case? /r/PurplePillDebate29/11/13 07:58 PM

Would I be right in interpreting this as an answer that sort of comes down to: In most cases misogyny can be interpreted as a misunderstanding of sorts, and that a misogynist would be an individual who refuses to respect a woman/women even when the respect has been earned? Thanks for your input.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/13 07:46 PM
2

If you don't mind elaborating: what makes you as a TRP member or as an individual not misogynistic (if you don't think you are a misogynist)? Misoginy being an intense hatred of women is pretty straightforward, and I know many individuals would define TRP as intensely hating women, while TRP doesnt believe so. I kind of want to know how a misogynist differs from you in your eyes. Thank you for your input!

Oh, here is a statement you might have missed from the OP. I clearly told him that I didn't want to have sex with him again from personal reasons, and that I wasn't into him, I just wanted to be friends. That shows she clearly withdrew her consent. Now you are telling me that after she told him she NEVER wanted to have sex again him 'carefully flipping her over' when she was asleep and then having sex with her was not rape?

The facts that you wont address here are that she gave her consent, and then never withdrew it. Except that's not a fact. Having sex earlier is not consent for later--ESPECIALLY if you have ended it with them, like OP said she did with the guy. This is an OBJECTIVELY false statement. ... yeah, it is. I would have answered this had I known it was posted. In future, asking me would be a much better way to find an answer to this. No, there probably isn't a lawsuit, even though there should be. And even though Cosmo is a female-oriented magazine, there are both men and women on their staff. This piece had to go through a lot of people, and it would be horribly surprising if not one of them happened to be a man. Discrimination and bias isn't as easy as chalking it down to being a war between two sexes.

It is the stupidest statement. Like, any other time I wouldn't support her saying it, but I could understand where she was coming from if she got men to think about how they could. I've always been a fan of not releasing names of people who are arrested to the general public. The names can be released when they are found guilty, and the media (if it is in dire need of a name) can make up a name to refer to them by. Not just for rape cases. It just seems that we are supposed to live in a world where if a person is declared guilty, they are declared guilty and expected to be treated as if they are guilty. Rape is rape even if it isn't legally defined as rape. Spousal rape was still rape even when it was legal in 1990 (U.K). If the legal system is a bit slow in realizing men can be raped, that doesn't mean men are not being raped.

Men are stronger, women are more perceptive to colour, men seem to pick up on spatial problems quicker, women seem to have a better grasp on language. But none of these should limit us. I think his second point is one of the most important ones. If a girl is upset, it's seen as normal. Girls get upset sometimes, so what? If somebody is so desperately broken and desperate for attention they are willing to risk their life--and permanent scarring/organ damage--they need medical/psychological attention just as badly as those who did intend to die when they tried to kill themselves. It's pointless to say anybody using one type of suicide attempt is just doing it for attention and another is doing it for 'real'. Not only is it hard to tell the difference, it's not really any of our business unless we are a psychiatris…

Judges are just human. He's currently reflecting the views out society has. Every movie that makes fun of sexually assaulting men. Every TV show that makes a man being sexually assaulted a joke. Every person who continues the stereotype that men are too strong to be raped... Change society and the legal system will follow.

I'd also like to see the laws and the specific statue. But I think the definition of "intercourse" may be the problem, since apparently before it did not count anal/oral sex.

I think I see what it means. If vaginal, oral, and anal sex is now considered rape, then it eliminates the possibility a woman forces herself on a man. Then there would be no penetration or contact of the mouth, or anus of the man, so it would not be seen as rape, still sexual assault. If they'd said genital instead of vaginal, then it would have applied to both men and women.

I see you believe the state should control your every action. I never said that. You asked for alternatives to abortion, and they all involve getting your ass taxed off. It's either abortions, taxes, or rampant crime. Go figure.

However, feminism claims to be for equal rights, even if that's not true. That is not at all what he said. Besides, I wasn't arguing with that, that's a pretty pointless argument. I was just saying it was stupid to say feminism can't be for equal rights because it is called feminism.

Any other ways to do that besides death? No bias here at all. I delivered you a world where every parent is prepared and every child is wanted. Without abortion? Well you can make sex ed mandatory, make all contraceptions free, and ideally make a male 100% effective contraception like the pill women have. If unprepared people are not allowed to have an abortion then you have to either a) fix the adoption system so parents feel safe in giving away their children b) spend huge amounts of welfare a…

I don't think you understand equality. Equality doesn't mean men will become shorter or women will be forced to become more interested in sports. It is about placing both gender roles on equal footing, making them equal. What you are describing is equality. Nobody is trying to make men and women the same--that's biologically impossible.

That would probably be a way for Texas to avoid many innocent people being locked up, but I doubt it would happen.

Okay clearly you are against abortion. People who are poor are more likely to need abortions. People who are in poverty are more likely to have children who are also stuck in the circle of poverty. People who are poor are more likely to commit crimes (not corporate). Eliminating those stuck under the poverty line because they had to have a kid helps because your tax dollars aren't going to cleaning up their mess. There we go, those are the goddamned fact. Altruistic? Sure! Abortions for everybod…

Is men's right's not about equality though? It sure isn't for male supremacism. It isn't about male inferiority, so it has to be about equality.

Nor do I approve of false rape accusations. Also just discussing the possibilities. I just think it is entirely possible a victim who didn't mean to accuse somebody could end up accusing somebody she's never met by accident.

Incredibly true. I always find it funny that people who are pro choice are also frequently supporters of aborting the baby if it is mentally challenged/physically deformed. What happened to life is life?
/r/MensRights06/07/13 02:09 AM

There have been cases where the women have not been able to properly identify their accusers and the men have still been charged. Due to the nature of a lot of rapes, victims tend to have shaky memories--ESPECIALLY if they were drugged. It's not unusual for rape cases to go through with the victim not having any memory of the attack. (Although then there are usually other witnesses, or proof that she was drugged by the accused.) I remember reading about one story on here about a woman who really…

An unprepared family generally has less saved up for the child, they're more likely to be poor, and that's just a bad combination. Maybe you've got two sixteen year olds. Mom and dad. The girl is pregnant, they're both high school juniors, they freak out, they can't raise a kid. The dad can't take the pressure, he is out of the potential kid's life. And who can blame him? That is probably the toughest moment of their lives--and she's the only one who is literally tethered to the baby. So the sin…

A huge incentitive. There's thousands of dollars just in giving birth to the baby, the pain and possible danger the mother could be in (especially if she is young! A young mother is more likely to suffer complications during a pregnancy), and if the mother is forced to raise the child by her parents/the father/somebody else, she might be looking at her whole life gone. It's not hard to see how somebody might make that choice. And that is scary.

Somebody cited an article from Swiss cops (I think) saying that most cases of "I don't know who did it" rapes are fabricated. But even then, what happens if a scared girl lies about being raped, gets the abortion gives a vague description, and then the cops drag in a guy who looks like her vague description? They don't actually need her to recognize him to charge him, and rape victims are often in shock and have troubles remembering details. Whether the guy is charged/convincted or not, his life…

Great ads, but definitely one sided. They show that anybody can stop a rape, they make a call to friends to help potential victims and they don't just hope the posters discourage a rapist. I would like to see some posters of a similar nature that acknowledge that women can be an agressor--both to men and other women--or that men can be a victim to sexual assault.

There's also Father Time, personally I haven't heard anybody complain about that. I don't think that Mother Nature a great idea of gendered language. The fact people who take care of children are called "Nannies" might be. I am not sure of the etymology, but nanny is culturally a term for a grandmother as well as somebody who lives in to raise children, even though a nanny is not always female. I don't really think Mother Nature is a huge deal, though.

Your wife doesn't sound like a very good person, maybe you can use that to your advantage. I am sure you know it is an uphill battle, the court has probably already labelled you a wife beater/child abuser (depending on what she accused you of. It was kind of unclear), and it's not easy to come back from that. Do you want full custody, or just partial custody? Either way, first step is lawyer up and get legal advice. At the risk of being skeptical, The men fuck the boys, the boys fuck the local dogs and animals. That is where you lost me. In Afghanistan homosexuality even when it isn't with a minor is punishable by death sentence. Beastiality only gets small prison sentences, so I might believe that, but I find it really really hard to believe that every man in Afghanistan is having sex with young boys. Do you have a source on your claims?

If the Canadians are/were doing it, I have no doubt other nations militaries were ignoring the same thing. Does the documentary mention anything about girls? Are the serving men and women allowed to stop child abuse on girls, or not? It's still a sickening issue, but whether it is something that happens to both genders would change the letter I am going to write to my MP. I would like to know where to start.

That's disgusting. There's no way this is an isolated few incidents, either. Does anybody recall any stories where Canadian soldiers were forced to allow women be sexually assaulted/where Canadian soldiers were permitted to stop allied troops from assaulting women? I haven't heard any, and am curious to know if the "you can't stop a child from being raped" rule swings both ways in terms of sex.

I don't think that's entirely the justice system there. IIRC Tiger lied about what really happened. There are a lot of domestic violence cases between men and women where the woman 'fell down and hit her eye on the corner.', too. Everybody knows it isn't true, but what are you going to do? A better example would be to compare how the media didn't demonize her compared to men who have done similar things.

It's not just for women. And not just by women. Guys are occasionally judged for who they sleep with, too, and how promiscuous they are. Maybe not to the same degree women are, but I guarantee there are still many household (particularly religious ones) that are just as protective of their son's virginity as they are of their daughter's.

Yeah because if she's so intolerable you wouldn't want to date her, you should definitely risk knocking her up or her turning psycho. If you like her and you want casual sex and she wants casual sex, go for it. If you don't like her, don't go for it.

I'm a foreigner, but was under the impression Age of Consent was usually 18. My bad. Either way, same thing. Whether a teenager should consent with a teacher doesn't matter, the fact is it was illegal and had the victim been a girl there would have been jail time.
/r/MensRights15/06/13 12:05 AM

It definitely shouldn't be public. I mean the father should know, the mother should know, and the child should know when s/he is old enough. But that's a family matter. That's up to mom, guy-who-thought-he-was-dad, and (possibly depending on the kid's age), the kid to sit down and talk it out. Depending on the situation a family court might be in order, too (ideally maybe a claims court if the father has reason to believe the wife knew and mislead him to spend money on a child that wasn't his). …

Yes and no. Evolution works that way, but mutations of our genes don't necessarily. That's why we still have horrible genetic diseases that can cripple children. Just because it isn't passed down genetically doesn't mean it can't exist. It just makes it a lot less likely. Kind of pedantic, though, as this doesn't affect your point about menopause.
/r/MensRights14/06/13 11:27 PM
2

It should also be noted that historically most women didn't live to menopause. Especially if they were fertile. Especially since most women had their first pregnancies in their mid-teens. Considering how few women historically had menopause over the last millennia, it seems unusual to me that it would be as a result of men's choices in mates that women developed menopause. And even less likely that the men would be aware of it when they chose younger mates.

Whether he is old enough to consent or not in our opinions is irrelevant. Whose fault it is the age of consent laws are raised is also irrelevant. Whether the law is right or just is also irrelevant. What does matter is that if that were a sixteen year old girl sleeping with a teacher there would be jail time. The law is supposed to be blind--but it clearly is slighting male rape victims. And legally, that boy is one.
/r/MensRights14/06/13 11:13 PM
54

If anything these are the most serious of matters. Many here might believe a sixteen year old is old enough to consent--I know I do--but that's not the issue. The issue is in the eyes of the law he cannot. In the eyes of the law he was raped. The law is supposed to be blind--but when it comes down to it it's ignoring somebody who was raped because the victim happened to have a penis, and the offender a vagina.
/r/MensRights14/06/13 11:10 PM
5

Maybe, but that doesn't change the fact it is an issue men face that women typically do not in our culture. Nor does it change the fact issues like these are on the back burner for most feminist organization. I would also say it is homophobia, where a man is seen as 'gay' if he is raped by another man. If he is raped by a woman there's negative reactions from both misogynists and misandrists, but I wouldn't say it's as clear cut as you seem to think. Intersectionality. It's a thing.
/r/MensRights08/06/13 01:11 PM

And when feminists ignore or marginalize this, they contribute to Rape Culture. When anybody does this. The battle isn't just the outliers of feminism who deny this happens, it's the whole damn world that does it.

Great article. Canada is experiencing the same problem in the RCMP (police force). I think this can apply to pretty much any military, or organized combat group.

Sexual assault statistics against men in general need to be shared and discussed. It's still a taboo for a man to be raped.

Probably because Canada has had a few high profile teen/university-aged gay boys/men commit suicide as of late. Calgary had one not too long ago, too, if I recall. She probably doesn't mean to slight the fact straight men are harassed for things too.

Buying me drinks isn't rape. Fucking me after I'm passed out is rape, but if I'm still coherent and say ok, it's on me. then are you illiterate? There was NOWHERE that /u/tryingtousurpsatan even implied buying drinks was rape. What does that have anything to do with using alcohol to render somebody unconscious, or to weaken them so they are easily overpowered? See? He mentioned raping somebody who is unconscious, and physically forcing somebody's will on them. Can you fucking read?

If you want to try that on me, you'll be welcomed gladly. What the fuck, they weren't threatening to date-rape you. Are you high? Should people have sex with passed out people? No. But if people didn't have sex while drunk, there would be a far lower global population. They literally said that people use alcohol as a tool to make men easier to rape. What the fuck are you on about? Consensual sex =/= rape.
