Except LAX is not typical border conditions. You're in an airport, and one of the okay ones at that. You're not going to have rooms that are like "war zones." She is using some serious hyperbole for what you would find at an airport, especially one with as much international travel as LAX.

They filmed it because people film everything nowadays, and she probably thought she would post it and get accolades from other women instead of it coming back to bite her. She used the side of the hammer because it probably hurt less, and she can't take the heat in the kitchen. If she hit other places, it may leave a more permanent mark or something, and she can't risk permanent damage or marks. She did it because she is a vile woman who wants to hurt this man who wronged her.

I personally enjoy Applebee's. Cheap drinks, affordable food, and variety. In fact, it is one of the few places I have been able to consistently eat at during this pregnancy. I have had horrible food aversions all 8.5 months, but I can always find something on the Applebee's menu to eat.
