Yes, I was around during the r/incels days and there were definitely multiple people who explicitly said "I deserve sex". One such person is a rapist who went on to become a mod over at incels.co.

What makes the Bay Area different? I've never lived there, so I'm curious. I would actually think CA is harder to date in because there are so many beautiful women. However, I'd feel disingenuous setting my location to something it's not. And yes, I guess "handful". I haven't been rejected hundreds of times. My count for 2017 was 21 rejections.

It's not as easy as it sounds. Some Incels have very high standards. If a girl is overweight, she's not good enough. If she won't have sex on the first date, she's not worth it. I've tried with guys from the FA sub and have gotten rejected by more than one. I've met what I think was an incel on OkCupid and gotten rejected. I've mentioned on incel subs 3 times that I'm willing to date an incel. No takers. If you're not a pretty girl and are overweight, dating is difficult in general.
