Oh, she's definitely a narcissist. A couple of years ago, I dressed up as a flying monkey for Halloween. When asked what I was dressed as, I said my ex's sister, lol.

They are blocked on everything, except Venmo. But seriously, what kind of person goes on Venmo to laugh at someone else? She's fucking 60 years old! Now they are blocked on Venmo, too.

I was the third guy and didn't know about the first two until after we were married. Any discussion we had about them, she told me they abused her or that it didn't matter because it was before we met each other. But I hear what you're saying. It's absolutely crazy! I didn't know the full extent of the first divorce until last week. I found the judgment from 1994 while cleaning out a filing cabinet.

Yea, I have an old friend that I reached out to thinking she would still be a good fuck buddy. She been heart broken a few times since we last knew each other and now I don't want to be a guy that hurts her. So I've been refusing her make out advances. Some snuggling but that's it. And I've kind of learned I'm not really ready for a physical relationship.

Mine breaks all the Court's Orders; doesn't pay tuition, doesn't adhere to the patenting schedule, etc. There's no consequences, at least not yet, from the court. The GAL went crazy on me because I told the narc that she had to adhere to the parenting order. Said I was putting child in the middle. I don't get this shit. I'm miserable now and was miserable married (divorce not finalized). What fucking difference does any of this make?

Thanks. I appreciate it.

I have a meeting with GAL tomorrow with a ton of what I think is evidence that I should be granted more than 50% parenting time. It's so much more difficult for men to prove their case.

Going through this shit with my STBXW narc. You can't co-parent with them! There is no compromising. Zero.

I have emails threatening me. Then an email saying, "go ahead and tell you lawyer because I don't care." That was all the judge needed.

I love my king size bed because my dogs sleep in my bed, with me. I have the room to move around without worrying about them calling off. Also, I just bought a new sheet set, comforter set, and duvet set. It is so welcoming to go to be now without the memories of her.

I'd get an attorney on retention to be safe. They'll credit back any funds not used. Without kids, it should be simple if you both want it over. I have kids, going on one year and $6k in fees with lots more to go.

This may sound crazy to some, but I didn't give an f about the money. I want my dignity and self respect. That's what I'm chasing. That's what I want.

Yes but they's equity in the house and she has a 401(k).
/r/Divorce_Men01/03/21 01:55 AM

Here's the thing...I wouldn't have been with her had I known she was still married to someone else, let alone try to marry her. Man that's 17 years of my life WASTED. How is that not emotional damage?
/r/Divorce_Men01/03/21 01:23 AM

I don't know workout a valuation. She said she'd take $10k and avoid the valuation and I say, let's have a valuation and force her to pay half of it.

Got married on 2008 and filed jointly each year.
/r/Divorce_Men28/02/21 11:36 PM
4

And that's where I'd lose because she didn't allow me to have a 401(k) but she started one. My attorney didn't want to pursue the not legal marriage option. Now with that, I founded a start up in 2018 and she's trying to get a piece of it even though she tried like he'll to prevent me from being successful.

I'm on the same boat right now. Anything of legitimate concern is returned as I'm putting the child in the middle.

No, there's a few cases like that. I'm going to save my information in case I have to take her neck to court sometime after the divorce is final.
/r/Divorce_Men21/01/21 12:34 AM

Well i found out mine is very likely still married to her last husband but I can't say anything because it may jeopardize 401(k) money.

Updated 3rd Meditation today and only lasted about 25 minutes. The mediator gave up and took some parting shots at me. I was much more comfortable today because I spoke with my lawyers office before the meeting. They advised me not to back down and not to agree with anything I wasn't comfortable with. In my state, IL, the meditator can only indicate if a decision was reached or not. Of course this pissed my STBXW off. I'm being accused of not what's doing what's best for our daughter. Now I'm se…

Just had a second meditation meeting with the STBXW. I don't and didn't agree to anything. It got heated and I lost my cool. My STBXW was very controlling and is a narcissist and I will not allow her to dictate anything anymore. I'm prepared to go to court. The other issue is she has stopped contributing to the house bills and refuses to leave. I can't imagine a judge will look fondly on that. Do I look bad if I refuse a third mediation?

I'm in a different position. My divorce has just started and I'm excited to meet new people, of the opposite sex, too hang out with. I'm only looking for new friendships. My STBXW was starting an argument with me earlier and I told her under no uncertain terms how excited I am to meet someone that shared my interests and had a positive influence on me. Shockingly, she's been nice to me the rest of the day.

We will be 12 years in September but she hasn't been interested in me in at least 8 years. I've been in counseling and have come to realize how much she dislikes me and the things she does to show prove it. She's a narcissist and terrible person. I want to hang out with some like minded people.

We don't talk to each other and haven't for a couple years. She has had no interest in what I've been doing for years. In fact she purposely ignores me and puts me down if she does have something to say.

Update: It took thre STBX a week and a half to read the filing papers. This is to say it took her a week and a half to realize I am seeking primary custody of our daughter. She of course suggested we not use lawyers and do it ourselves and save the money. I said no, talk to my laywer. Then she wanted to know why I'm seeking primary custody. I said no, I'm not talking to you. Talk to my laywer. That was last week. Tonight she wanted to know if I was seeking primary just to hurt her (I'm absolutel…

I wouldn't cancel private school if there's an option not to do so. I'm in the same boat as you and not changing my child's school. It will be hard enough of a change as it is

Update: Had a meeting with my lawyer today. She wants to do more research but it my better not to disclose this knowledge at all. We need to be certain of the financial ramifications of married/not really married scenarios. I'm self employed and she has a 401(k). There are some marital arrests like our residence and a rental property. But, the laywer is ready to file as soon as I give the go ahead. Meeting with therapist tomorrow.

Spoke to the lawyer today and scheduled a conference call for tomorrow. She has to do a little research but said it certainly looks like she, the STBX, got married and no divorce record found yet.

My STBX and I both went to separate counselors, as I was already in it myself. Then plan was to bring us and ot respective counselors together for grip sessions occasionally. That lasted twice, as my counselor called the STBX out on being passive aggressive and suggesting a better way to communicate. Nope. The STBX knows she is the only one that's right.

Holy crap, I really needed to read that! I submitted my retainer paperwork today. Your post is like a mirror of my marriage. I've done all the counseling individually and requested the 2 joint sessions we had. She stopped the joint sessions because she said they didn't matter. She said she didn't love me anymore and didn't even like me most days. She's the one that wouldn't accept responsibility or change behaviors. Still, though, this is my biggest failure.

I would not do this. What's to say she won't come back later and deny the money was paid to her?

I can't stand my wife anymore. Even my therapist said she's never going to change and will always be abusive. She told me to get a divorce. Then I read this shit and I wonder if the abuse and misery is worth it.

Is filling for separation and having a court decide temporary custody how it works? She's not going to leave our daughter voluntarily but her work schedule doesn't allow her to care for our daughter full time. I'm self employed and have my own schedule. Work from home everyday.
