I mean, if you were to take it the worst/least charitable, wouldn't you rather the gathering of potential rapists be publicly visible rather than sequestered into pocket groups that no one else knows about?

Yeah, I haven't even seen a woman talking to a man in the year I've been going locally, unless she came in with them. There might be harassment, but it's not common; at least around here.

Some guys do some guys don't. If your friend is trying to sabotage your relationship, find better friends. Most people out there with envy or jealousy don't act on it, or use it as motivation.

TIL I'm being degraded for giving my wife oral. I think you need a reality check if this is your view on sex.

Funny enough fat acceptance has had the opposite effect on me. It's driven me to hear new opinions and perspectives that made me open my eyes to what I see in the mirror and I stopped letting my eating disorder slowly kill me while blaming my parents. Sure they didn't help and are a large reason I ended up with horrible habits, but I can't blame them forever. It's just hard. By not targeting men they probably made me more uncomfortable than I otherwise would have been with my body, and eventuall…

Not the person you asked, but the number is too high to count. I had years of sexual abuse when I was younger that never went noticed by my parents at the hand of primarily my older brother. Hard to say if I've ever been raped outright, but of course as child things are statutory and that would qualify. As an adult I've never had or felt threatened that those things would happen to me, but those experiences undoubtedly play a major role in my many mental health struggles. There were other boys e…

Funny enough this fat acceptance shit has convinced me to loose weight because of people speaking out against it made me look in the mirror and want to be better.

Yes, she's done it to at least one other guy where I work as well. He had the balls to take it to upper management, so it's stopped since. Something tells me if a guy was touching up on a woman in the same way he would have been fired though. At least my management team didn't downplay the complaint. In fact I had to help escort out a guy for saying lewd things to a female employee. He never touched her and as far as I was made aware it was the first reported offense. Double standards go brrrrr.

I don't have a source, nor am I the guy you questioned, but there is as you pointed out "healthy fat" and "unhealthy fat". Subcutaneous fat (viable body fat) is not gonna put you on a fast track to diabetes, but visceral (internal organs) fat will. Problem is no one really distinguishes them or understands the foods they eat. You can appear skinny and have fat on your internal organs, which makes you as or similarly unhealthy to a visibly fat person with the same fatty organs. Conversely it's po…

I don't get people that can't hold a conversation while gaming. Unless it's a particularly tense moment most games have plenty of periods of down time where you can chit chat. Most of the time I'm playing a game I'm talking with 3-4 other people all playing different games just hanging out in voice chat. Unless it's a PvP game (and even most of the time then) we're never too distracted by the games we are playing. I also like involving my partner in my hobbies and I personally thinks it's import…

I'm bi/pan, and no matter who I'm dating I want a similar amount of experience w more is okay, but really only if they aren't into casual sex. Male or female doesn't matter here, I want people who see sex in a similar way to me.

Same experience. I worked in a blue collar position, and if people found out someone older than 20 was a virgin they would constantly make fun of it any time sex was talked about around them. Maybe not in a 100% mean way, but they definitely brought attention to it. Granted the guys who were the worst about it always bragged about cheating on their wives so wtf do I know?

Unless you are young and dumb, it's pretty easy to detect a narcissist, and even then you'd have to be really attracted to them to not care or notice lol.

I have a good face, but I'm overweight, lucky it balances because of my height. 6'3". When I was interested in dating I've had no problems with women as long as I talked to them and let my personality through. Although I must admit I had an easier time with other guys heh. None of my straight friends have been without a gf for longer than a month or two when they seemed to be looking. Normalize being single in general. People rush into LTRs way too soon as it is. In my anecdotal experience, all of my friends with LTRs have big issues, and none of them are over 30 yet. The ones that are the most happy are the 28 y/o virgin, and myself. We do our own things and enjoy hanging out with friends. Being alone (without a relationship) doesn't equal being lonely. Too many see it as that way and that causes the stigma that breeds resentment. The real problem is people propping up relat…

"Someone who willingly accepts an imaginary character as a substitute for another human being obviously has some type of developmental issues. And, when people grow emotionally close there's a vulnerability that naturally develops. So, if one of those people is significantly arrested, emotionally or intellectually, the other of the pair is likely to get hurt." It sounds like you are seeing them exist in a vacuum. You can have a parasocial relationship, and put time and effort into while also hav…

Me specifically? (And from what I gather most.) It wasn't really a "choice". It just kind of happened. I was enjoying some casual fantasies about her, and one day I looked back to realize that it was much further internally than a fantasy. There's a common saying in the community "your partner picks you". What I take that to mean is, that it really is just a perfect storm of coincidence. The vast majority of people in these relationships don't set out to start one intentionally. Usually a charac…

better than having them getting close and trusted by actual women. Whether they should be considered a future danger to society, I have no idea. What does any of that have to do with someone pretending or believing they are dating a fictional character? The only conclusion I drew from those comments is "danger" meaning some type of physical harm. If you mean something else, elaborate. And the first makes me question everything? Why would them being close to and trusted by women be a bad thing? I…

Personally I wouldn't even quantify them versus real people. A real person could never give me the relationship I want/get out of a fictional one. That said I don't think they are even close to being "Superior" for everyone. For those who genuinely can find fulfilment in it though, sure. The biggest non physical aspect is where 99% of people loose interest. They either don't want to know how to make intimacy and connections with someone who lives in your head, or just literally have no desire to…

Anime/fictional characters are not only unrealistic, they're impossible to compete with if looks are all that matters. They will not ever age unless you want them to.

Based. I think it's much wierd to be in toxic relationships than a fantasy one that makes you happy lol Especially with how the average user here seems to despise the people they wanna be with, shrugs. No skin off my back tho.

You can be alone and not lonely lol. Meet social needs with friends and family. Enjoy your hobbies to the fullest. There's people out there who don't look for relationships, and don't have anime wives. Not everyone needs one to be happy and fulfilled.

Yeah. It's pretty hard considering the places for it already grown on irl partners to begin with. I understand it's to make sure they only attract people like me lol, but there's at least a few out there with real partners and dedicated serious fictional partners too. The two I'm friends with actually their partners don't have anything to do with the fictional side of their partners love life. At least not directly. It works for them shrugs. Tbh that sounds like something different to the norm. As far as how I see it effecting most people is, it just makes them happier and they keep it to themselves/online places. For instance I probably won't ever tell my parents, or at least not anytime soon. I don't think I'd have to convince any one here that the average "waifuist" doesn't have an actual wife or kids. Although surprisingly there are some. They're usually good people though, and I don't see them foregoing their real relationships…

Well seeing as I am one, my opinion is quite high ||actually we joke about that being the opposite because there's definitely some fucking trashy drama whores, but really let's not go there||. For me it's been a far more fulfilling experience than my previous partners. I've had fictional crushes and even serious ficto relationships for going on 15 years, and in that time I've also been with men and women romantically/sexually. None of these relationships lasted, or really motivated me like I wou…

For a lot of them it's as impactful as a real relationship. If you consider that a hobby, then sure lol I would say I'm more free than I would be in a real relationship that's for sure. I spend maybe an hour or two actively with her every day, and maybe $200 a year on merch. It's been much more fulfilling for me than my real relationships as well.

Honestly I'm shocked you think that way. While there are a few with questionable views towards women (or men depending), sexist views are generally not tolerated at all in the communities that practice it. Most are not actually incels so being compared to them is something none of us like. The only danger the pose compared to any other group is they won't be contributing to repopulation. I'm curious why you think they would be any kind of a threat physically? In my experience most are warm heart…

Some are and some aren't. It heavily depends on their mental state and reasons for doing it. I'm happy, and I know plenty that are as well. Of course I know just as many that are not.

Referring to the second half as it applies to me. This is true in some, but not all cases. And it's not even close to exclusive to men. There's an entire subreddit dedicated to people that do this, and while it's male dominated there is a fair number of women who are just as if not more serious. Don't get me wrong there is an overwhelming number of people that do it because of anxiety or mental things. Or bad luck with the opposite sex in terms of any experience. But there are also those who mak…

I know people who admitted to cheating with a married person, but they themselves were single (and a virgin at the time). Never cheated myself, but I've been cheated on. Been with men and women, and the cheater in my life was female. It was one of the more painful times of my life personally.

However irrational the latter sentiment is or may be perceived to be, not too many men want to perpetually carry this feeling in their dealings with women. The person he's replying to made it about feelings.

They can stop, but they have to acknowledge they have an addiction and work on it. Once it's at the level of addiction you don't just flip a switch and stop. It's baked into you. Your brain will help you rationalize it anyway it can to get that dopamine fix.

I swear I love being upset by dumb shit online and seeing the most outrageous hot takes, but I don't feel that way here. I mostly just laugh at how miserable everyone seems to be, and that's not including the incels/black pills. I just don't understand how some people come to the ideologies they subscribe too, and it's entertaining to see them stick to it when apparently it gets both sides nowhere.

I'll be honest, with the abuse in my childhood I find it hard to be vulnerable enough to open up to anyone outside of emotional breaking points. I've never had the people I actually trust hurt me since I've grown up (with one exception being my mother last year), but I'm very, very selective with those I do choose to open up to. I've never actually heard of people using vulnerability in this way, or at least complaining about it as a reason they bottle up. Looking at myself though I can see that…

A long term, intimate, close bond between what would ideally be life long friends. There's an intimacy you can only really have with a sexual partner, so that's part of it, but not even close to the whole.

Yea I pretty much agree, I just think it sucks that people feel the need to spend the money in the first place. I don't really care about the creators doing their thing. It's not necessarily them "creating" a gf experience and selling it though. These guys are growing attached because of positive reinforcement from someone who really doesn't give a fuck about them. I'd wager the vast majority are unhealthy parasocial relationships. Which in turns makes it even harder for them to find a relations…

I think they are arguing more in the case of the gf experience and not really just the porn aspect. It creates a parasocial relationship with a content creator which can damage someone's real relationship or prevent then from seeking something with real meaning, all the while sucking their money away. That's my take, but tbh I don't really care one way or the other because I'm not involved in it either way. If some idiot wants to blow all his money in the idea of having sex with someone they obv…

I like building and exploring my sexuality and sexual ability with my partner. I'd still think there's a bar of comfort I'd like them to have our first couple times together though, so some previous experience is ideal, but hardly a deal breaker. If they are enthusiastic and also want to explore and learn each other's bodies that's all I really want. Starting sexual ability says nothing of potential or chemistry. More experience doesn't also mean better at fucking with an individual either. Diff…

(27M, Pan) This goes for men, women or in-between for me. If you engage in casual sex more than occasionally (like once or twice a year outside of a relationship) I'd consider you promiscuous regardless of body count. I loathe casual sex so it's a huge turn off for me in general. While I wouldn't have a specific number in mind, if you are engaging in loving non casual sex with a partner I'd barely even consider that a "body" because they don't have the same emotional weight or value to me. As someone who was sexually abused, yes. The double standards about this topic were some of the hardest things I've had to overcome in my life, because literally no one gives a fuck. Anyone who thinks otherwise should be sterilized. If you think men cannot be raped by women, then you must also concede that a woman who is turned on or orgasms during rape were just having consensual sex. Good luck convincing anyone of that who isn't worth of a noose.

I mean in the sense that sex results in propagation of genes, and that's the only "point" to life. In reality we can control the outcome of that through contraception. So the activity itself is hardly more than a good time and a good way to bond with someone you love. Not about casual sex personally, but people gonna fuck. I appreciate it for what it is, but without it I'd have plenty of other outlets for a good time. So, no.

If we spend the day enjoying each other's company and share interests (meaning we enjoy doing the same things). Having a good time together romantic or otherwise for a whole day and capping that off with sex is about as good to me as, any spontaneous session. I am however hypersexual, it takes a lot for me to not want sex. I do relate to being exhausted after a day out, but really that's not an issue tbh.

That's why I just live my life, debate is all and good, but I don't have time to subscribe to any group and follow them and their ideologies like a religion. Surprise many people can fit a broad "container" while cleverly ignoring the ones who don't to fit a narrative.

I can think of someone I find attractive, and appreciate their appearance, even be aroused by it, but that doesn't mean I am thinking about or actually want to have sex with them. This is also how I view/viewed porn personally.
