That is the core of it. Some women do fail to understand that you're your own person. They cant expect to be the whole life they are part of one's life.

I very much disagree about your last statement and think its rooted in some kind of traditional power dynamic. There are plenty of care options out there such that no child would be unnecessarily disadvantaged by both parents working. In that situation everyone would be doing what they professionally do best, both parents and the carers too. The extra income would ease stress on everyone rather than having all of the financial burden on the the sole male breadwinner. You would have to establish …

I think the silliest part is that he is trying to contact her repeatedly. Take the hit and find someone else. My tldr is that he got in a relationship, she had a sexual history that the guy didnt really give a shit about, she essentially presses him for validation (wtf?), he tells her he doesnt agree or like her past actions, she arcs up and leaves. He is willing to have a relationship with her anyway but she wants to look on that past positively and he doesnt want to play ball. Its one of those…

I guess it was more of an insurance if things fell down in the short term. We split with what we came in with

That bothers me too. Guys and gals should know that having kids is like bumping up the game difficulty from low to extreme. I dont see people with kids often help out when I get sick, etc.

I have one of the most extensive pre-nups that i have ever heard of. Most pre-nups separate assets prior to marriage and then every thing from the marriage date goes into the communal pot. The purpose of ours is to separate our assets in perpetuity. But i hear even that can be contravened if one party lays claim to the assets of another.
