I have a cleaning service that cleans my house every two weeks. I pay them $260 per month and it’s a steal. I don’t think they’d agree to have sex with me each visit for $140 extra. Also… they always tell on themselves. They don’t want a relationship with another human being. Our entire value is housekeeping and sex. Then they complain that women don’t like them.

I wish I could get this through my clients’ heads when they’re divorcing. Oh, your husband doesn’t think you need to get an appraisal for your house? Guess what. That’s because he thinks an appraisal will benefit you and not him. Oh, you told your husband that your priority is to maintain the marital home for the sake of your children? Guess what. He will now rob you of everything other than the home and pretend he’s doing you a favor. Oh, your husband says he wants to contribute to your kid’s c…

They don’t get it. If I have to do everything and get treated like a slave, then I’ll just leave and do everything for myself. Less than half the work, none of the shitty relationship. Even if she keeps her baby, she’s better off alone.

I think it’s about upbringing. If the guy’s mom is a Neurosurgeon instead of a SAHM, I’m going to hope for a more modern mentality about women.

Kanye West seems like a total nightmare to be around. Back when he was totally off the rails, people criticized her for not getting him help and her statement said it all. He wouldn’t take his meds it’s really hard to commit someone involuntarily. But people think she should stick around and raise her kids with an actively mentally ill man who regularly spoke publicly about resenting her? He did interviews saying how he resented her sex tape, resented that she wanted him medicated, resented her …

My dad died believing that my mom’s Women’s Studies class was the reason for their divorce, and not his alcoholism.

Reddit is easier when you realize that the majority of users are between the ages of 12 and 20. They are also predominantly male. Most of them have never had a real job or been in a relationship. A token few may have had a high school dating experience. When you accept this reality when reading responses, you’ll be unable to unsee it.

I like how he knows his girlfriend’s opinion and he also knows his sister’s opinion, but he’d really rather hear the opinions of random dudes on the internet.

Best case scenario is that he took a vulnerable, mentally unstable person into the wilderness and then abandoned her there to die from exposure. He then made sure not to report her missing, not reach out to her parents, not notify the park rangers on the way out. Oh yeah, and he stole her vehicle. Worst case scenario is that he murdered his girlfriend. Either way, these people who are defending him are morally bankrupt.

Women aren’t supposed to care about money, or looks, or mental fitness, or physical fitness in a partner. Essentially any quality you might hope for is “shallow” to think about. The only thing women are supposed to get happiness from are a) caring for their husband, and b) caring for their children.

Performative Incompetence enters the chat. In all seriousness, I was able to figure out how to plan a vacation at 16. Pretty sure you can just Google “how to plan a vacation” or call a travel agent. You know what else he’s never done? Plan a wedding. Raise a kid. Change a diaper. Take care of a sick relative. Buy thoughtful Christmas gifts. Welcome to the rest of your life of taking care of a guy who just doesn’t have the capacity to learn new things.

I watched my mom struggle to raise my brother right. He was expected to do chores, treat women with respect, keep his temper under control, etc. When he turned 16-17 he just flat out ignored it and reversed it. He routinely criticized her for making him do things that his friends weren’t expected to do. He laughed at my dad’s sexist jokes and was bitchy to my step mom. When he turned 18, my dad immediately stopped paying child support and my brother got belligerent toward my mom when said she ha…

Correlation does not equal causation. There may be all sorts of reasons why people who don’t cohabitate prior to marriage also get divorced less often. Religion is an obvious one.

I don’t want to date a guy who has to shower at my house because he doesn’t have indoor plumbing.

It’s ok if he’s not “the one.” He’s a nice guy and you like him. But your ambivalence is clear. It’s ok to break up with a guy who was nice, but not the right fit for you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
