Oh also BTW, science/data can absolutely be framed in a sexist way. Science was one of the largest proponents of racism and slavery with the advent of photography. They used images to claim that Africans were a lesser species. We know now that that was highly political and inaccurate.

Aight, so your coming from a place that says life isn’t fair, nor has it ever been. Yes that is true, but feminism and other movements including your own are contemporary movements aimed at righting the wrongs of the past, and artificially creating a more equal society. If women don’t deserve equal power/representation in society, then neither do you.

Feminism has built a structure for itself which often times goes against the very purpose of feminism for sure, even the name of feminism has inherent bias. Why are you so stuck on extremes? I don’t think they’re all good and should be “screened in” but I think we need not even make much distinction between men and women when discussing if they’re good or bad or whatever else. My issue with MGTOW is that much of what I’ve read here might take something that could be factually proven but then follows with misogynistic speculation. You could be having healthy conversation about addressing the disparity within the feminist movement. I’m coming from the perspective that pointing out either sex’s “negative qualities” in a generalizing way is sexist. It’s reducing individuals with their own qualities to a caricature which is inherently inaccurate.

That issue is certainly a complex one. The way I see it, capitalism, without any intervention, will just continue to make the powerful even more powerful. And so even though men have attained these jobs through a fair system, if we don’t discuss it, men will continue to hold more and more power in society. For me, this is a problem because I think women deserve relatively equal representation in the construction of our society that we share.

Yea I guess I get that sometimes, like sometimes confused romantic perceptions. Other than that though, I’d say I get along with women about the same as men. It just seems odd to me that there can be this whole philosophy of exile from women, when there are so many examples of those relationships being perfectly healthy. Is it just a matter of growing tired of trying to find that?

I do think that as animals, we inherently have these primal tendencies to watch out for ourselves and our own kind. It takes a lot of work to go against that, but I fully believe most people can.

Well political/cultural change isn’t an easy or expedient process. Also, as I understand it, there’s a more significant history of violence against women and so the disparity between men and women in things like custody disputes and rape charges come from that imbalance in culture and men’s physical advantages. So while it isn’t necessarily fair, it’s the most effective system we have to reduce those crimes.
