Ohhh. No this was ordered and calculated during our collaborative divorce.

Oh no of course not. I’m just not having it come From my wages or some state ran service. No need since there is a paper trail from my bank (thanks auto bill lmao) no one oversees it.

I usually perceive the same thing with my ex and her family. I will readily admit my situation could be infinitely worse, but what has helped me is that I can’t pre-burn on what she MIGHT say or do, even if I think the likelihood is 100%. You can only clean up your side of the street, and you can only lead (parent) by example. Sure your kids may love mommy NOW, but if yiu continue to be the best farther you know how to be and care for your children everyday, then they will see that. They will al…

I knew exactly what sub I’m in. I’m a divorced single father too, I’ve just outgrown that stage. Im cleaning up my side of the street and being a better person. Life is too short to be bitter at the opposite sex.

Not at 50:50 yet, doing a step up program every 6 months until 50/50 at 3yrs old. Why she wanted a kid with me if she didn’t think I could be a parent is beyond me. So far it’s ~800 a month.

I definitely agree with your POV that it’s supporting my son. I find it difficult when I am the one living in a one bedroom apartment, while mommy and daddy bought her a house w/ 3/4 acres in Seattle. I can’t compete when I have to pay child support, then knowing that I’ll continue to pay her once I get to a level that’s just equal std of living, it’s really hard to see it in that positive light.

I just cut her a personal check at the moment.

Oh goody, just moved to WA from CO and need to register our parenting plan here. I’m always concerned that if I end up making vastly more than I did when we got divorced, that I will have to pay her more child support after 50/50 custody years after our divorce. (Child is 2)

What makes me so upset about this bullshit is that for our entire marriage I had made significantly less. Then during our divorce my VA disability and increased to a point where we were like 49/51 in income. Now when we get to 50/50 custody it should be even, but then what happens if I make way more money now Post divorce a couple years after? Now I’m supposed to pay her child support after I finally got my career up? Years after our divorce? Make it make sense to me. (Not you specifically mehme…

You’re asking about what allegations and then literally in the next sentence said that she HAS made some allegation in the past? Dude DM me if you need some help sorting your thoughts, you seem all over rn

Because you are a man and she is a woman. If you let her file first bro you are more than likely NEVER going to see them. I’m not trying to be alarmist but she kidnapped your children. Women hold all the power on child court. I’m afraid she’s cooking up a SERIOUS SHIT STORM for you and you’re currently just letting her. Idk what state your in, but if it’s big R controlled you may be looking at some archaic laws that WILL fuck you over. She ran away with your kids, the trauma is already happening…

Start setting boundaries now. This was probably one of a few reasons my marriage didn’t work. Now every time I set a boundary it’s just as much bull shit from her, but I’m learning I don’t have to react emotionally that way anymore. I don’t have to care anymore. I’m about 7 months from finalized date and I wish I would have put my foot down more. Stand up for yourself

Seems as though you have the means to hire an attorney worthy enough to go to war with, because that’s what it’s going to take to get this to happen. I don’t see why she would agree to any of that, but I’m curious to know what makes you think she’ll pay off all your debt while now being on the hook for the mortgage and everything with only a promise to help from her now ex husband? Because honestly if the roles were reversed, I’d be telling my old lady to get absolutely fucked if she came to me …

This is one reason I have purchased a sailboat and deleted the apps. I focus on enriching my OWN life, not here to enrich someone else’s. If she wants to hang around for a long time while I’m out here living my best life then great. If not, great, I wish you luck. Single on purpose man, great fuckin book and therapy is helping me get to a spot where I don’t care to look for 🐱 or dealing with my need to have a SO in my life (getting to a point where being alone is ok)

Hey buddy, I have a toddler too. I understand where you are coming from. What you also have to think about is what type of relationship are you displaying as an example for them to base they’re future relationships off of. That’s what has helped me deal with that loss of not seeing my son every day, that together we were worse than if we were apart. I’m also thankful I did NOT take some men’s advice here and was able to come out the other side being able to co-parent like champs and at least I d…

Hard said than done, but I love this advice. To me it’s good co-parenting to communicate with the other parent like that. If my son is having a bit of a hard time or missing his mom I’ll just FaceTime her. Him missing her is just that, it’s not him not wanting me.

I’ll do you one better. Even if they make more they’ll find a way. My ex was quick to waive any sort of spousal support if either of us suddenly lost our job etc. (thinking it’d be me) but was super pissed when I suggested I don’t pay child Support since I agree to move closer to her parents

You’re saying the system is making it hard on men to teach us a lesson? Just want you to elaborate a little more for me I want to understand what you’re saying.

I guess I should clarify what I meant by advice or words of wisdom. I want to know how you dealt with the emotions and how you and the ex worked together then -> now and how you kept it all amicable

Yea we’re currently using a firm together here in Colorado, so we both meet with an attorney/mediator who guides us through it all.

We meet with an attorney/mediator now to go through it all (financials today actually) and it’s me who was texting other women (yes I know bad guy I get it and am repenting, really don’t need more people telling me how shitty I am, I already know) so I’m pretty confident the child is mine and at this point I wouldn’t care because I love him.

You'd be surprised how many jobs my close friends and I have applied for only to find out they are looking for a woman to fill the position. Why can't they hire the person most qualified for the job?
/r/MensRights25/06/16 12:33 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
