Practice videos on YT were a big help for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w3cYtJekpw&t=25s&ab\_channel=TrippAdvice

That's a good answer. Also don't hesitate to flip the script and ask them things like: "how many do you think I've slept with..." or "how many have you slept with..." and finally if you want to piss someone off there is "more than you..." or "not as many as you..."

This post is something men should learn early, like when they are teenagers - would save them a lot of heartache.

Dude, you went to the party, that is a success, not a failure. Baby steps, and don't be hard on yourself.

You're not a bad looking guy; in fact you have kind of a Jon Hamm vibe going on in the first two pics.

Beat me to it: the best reply is no reply and get on with your life. There are too many fish in the sea to get bothered by one that got away.

Unless, you two make it clear that it’s just a hook up Unfortunately people still get attached and hurt. Your original advice is best: don't hook up with her ~ don't be a dick.

Agree. In some ways it is like the game musical chairs - if a young woman is not careful, she can very easily find herself without a chair.

The way I think of it: you may like vanilla and chocolate ice cream but sometimes you are in the mood for strawberry. That doesn't mean you don't like vanilla and chocolate ice cream any less, you just wanted something different.

No, because you are both stuck there, if things go badly, neither of you can make an exit.

Another one is when guys pick a place where people cannot leave, such as an airplane.

If a woman signals "NO" to you, some funny joke isn't gonna make you suddenly attractive to her. And 90% of the time, you did not make any mistake, she was just not into you. Exactly this. If you get a "No," then take the hint and graciously make your exit - both of you will be better off.

Eye contact like that is definitely an invitation to come over and say "hello." As the initiator of the conversation it will be up to you to carry the conversation, so have something to talk about besides "nice day today isn't it?" Good Luck!

"OK, well maybe some other time then" Is all you need to say. Then don't contact her again unless she reaches out to you first.

The question is will I even ever get over a lot of this trauma. And why do I need to become an enlightened monk The first step is recognizing the problem and it sounds like you have done that. As for the enlightened monk: learning through introspection and examining one's actions is a lifelong process. Embrace it, it is how we improve, not just in dating but in all areas of life.

Making a grand proclamation of love makes women feel cornered and uneasy. Exactly, wait for them to ask.

Shared experience is a good opener. For example if you and someone are waiting at a bus stop and it is a hot day, you can say something like: "well at least it is a dry heat..." Corny yes, but it is an invitation to start a conversation.

Other than time and effort, it doesn't cost anything to learn the social skills you will need to attract women. So get out there and talk to anyone you can, make every encounter a learning opportunity.

Men and women are attracted to one another sexually. This is normal, if it was not this way, our species would have died out a long time ago. That said, there are rules, customs, traditions, etc., for how things get done. If you think there could be a mutual interest, then ask her out on a date. However dating/pursuing women at work is very risky. There is a reason for the expression "don't shit where you eat."

freak in bed Actively participate, take the initiative, suggest positions, be down with new/risky locations, etc. Some girls will just lie there doing the bare minimum - aka "Starfishing," and it doesn't take long until this gets boring af.

It's the quiet ones you have to careful with.... And by careful, I mean have a lot of fun with. 55 year old here, it was the same back in my day. The quiet girls were the best.

no it’s not bro Most of my girlfriends have been because they initiated. u/HandsomeBadness has it right, there are things you do to pique a woman's interest - if she is interested, she will come to you.

This is a really good list, can it be pinned somewhere? My only suggestion, #3, should be rule #1.

u/MO_drps_knwldg has it exactly right. All you have to do is say thank you for reaching out, appreciate the thought but there is no need for us to get together. And for your own emotional protection, you *do not* want to see her.

anything but yes is a no Actually there are three possible answers: Yes. "Raincheck." As in sorry I am busy that day, can we get together on XXX day? Anything else is a "no." "Raincheck" - someone may be legitimately busy. If a girl offers an alternative date to get together then she is interested but she just has a prior arrangement on the day you suggested. If she doesn't suggest/offer an alternate day, then that means "no."

I feel like a fool But you are not alone, I went through something similar. It sucked but I got through it and so will you. Like others have said, do not talk to this person anymore, have as little interaction with her as professional courtesy will allow. And next time, remember Dating Rule #1: Protect your heart. Don't "fall in love" until the person has proved themself worthy of you.
/r/seduction25/01/22 03:36 AM

Ask her out, the worst that can happen is that she says "no." Just be sure to protect your heart and don't fall in "love" with her until you are sure about her. Good Luck.

If she is into it, bowling and pool are great first dates. There are pauses in both of these activities where you can talk - that is make eye contact. But because you also have to play the game, bowling and pool are not as intense as something like dinner.

All the stuff you need to manage is a pain 😁 It only gets harder when you get married and start a family. The time when you are first on your own, think of that as training for bigger things yet to come.

If you stay "friends" with her this is what will happen. You *have* to move on - it is for the best, for both parties.

30's are a great time in life: your still young, but you have some experience to not do the foolish things you might have done in your teens and 20s.

"Frantic" is probably too harsh. In their 30's, instead of just being the one who is pursued, a woman will be the one who initiates. You still need to have your act together, a woman is not going to want to date a guy who doesn't have a job, etc. What I also found was that in their 30's women were more mature - so was I for that matter. Dating in my 30's; there were no coy games, it was just understood that we were both there either to be friends with benefits or maybe something long term.

I would say early 30's. 55 year old here. Looking back...definitely early 30s. At that age, your finally on your feet, making money and have some confidence. Women who are not already married and want to settle down, they start getting frantic....everything just comes together in your early 30's. Have fun out there fellas.

and to whom I asked to go do things just the 2 of us two times before ,and each time she had an excuse to not go without proposing another date instead. She is using you to keep her company. Move along and find someone who wants to date you. At least right now this girl is only interested in friendship. Good luck.

Go on YouTube and search for eye contact practice. You will find videos of men and women who do nothing but look at you. Practice keeping eye contact with them. Have a "conversation" where you practice and get comfortable with maintaining eye contact. Repeat until you are comfortable. Here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w3cYtJekpw
