You can get hsv type 1 from family or.just sports like American football or wrestling. Type 2 is possible without symptoms (or slight unnoticed symptoms). You could have it without her giving it to you. You maybe even gave it to her. This is a very real option. OP is, and has been, an asymptomatic carrier for ?. OP needs to get a bloodtest and if it turns out tha he's positive, start taking antivirals and informing his partners before sex. He would only test positive if the virus was active.
