I live in a highly educated but, as you can imagine, nerdy part of society where any man getting laid five times a year is seen as someone who’s doing pretty well for themselves. You don’t need to be in some testosterone-fueled military boot camp to meet those kinds of people.

Clearly we live in different parts of society. What a fuckboy is to you is a legend to someone else.

Why does it require constant escalation?

How ridiculous is this ridiculous retainer?

tbh I don’t think people are actually being called transphobic for not dating a transperson You don’t believe that actual dumb people exist that are being referred to in articles like this one? Do you think the BBC is just making this Amy person up? Or that Amy is lying through her teeth to the BBC? Because, given the amount of extremely dumb woke takes I see, this is an entirely believable phenomenon.

historically this is why men with higher status had multiple wives or a main wife plus some mistresses Was that ever accepted historically, outside of some kings and emperors? I feel like marital infidelity has been taken pretty seriously in past centuries.

So I’m wondering why it’s an issue for you. Because I have empathy and am able to empathize with problems that other men have? Lol did I say it’s your fault Can you read? You literally wrote Maybe it’s because sex with you is bad. And women don’t enjoy it.

Uhh, my sex life has been fine. But as this article says, the average woman's sexual desire goes down after marriage. Good thing I'm not married yet. You though? You literally admitted you're the reason your sex drive is low, and yet you still try to pin things on me. Pathetic.

What do you mean maybe it’s me? You’ve literally just admitted it’s you who doesn’t enjoy sex.

Who the hell talks to ex’s before dating?
/r/MensRights31/01/22 03:45 PM

And so I can keep complaining about her if I ever end up with a woman like that.

Divorce doesn’t preclude complaining. Plenty of women complain about how their ex-husbands were.

Sounds like you stayed dumb.

Yeah, and it doesn't for other people. Don't demonize them for getting frustrated by a lack of sex.
/r/MensRights31/01/22 07:46 AM

Well then, no wonder they became your ex. Like I said, sucks to be your boyfriend. Unless he has really low libido.
/r/MensRights31/01/22 07:10 AM
7

Oh so it might be temporary. And you were apologizing. Because you knew it might be frustrating for him. And yet you demonize other men for wanting sex from their wives. K then, rather hypocritical
/r/MensRights31/01/22 07:07 AM

He’s either got really low libido or is putting up with a lot, because a dead bedroom before you’re even married is nuts if you actually want sex. Especially if the person who you’re with doesn’t even sympathize with frustrations stemming from a lack of sex.

Sucks to be your boyfriend

Yes, and it’s okay for men to be super horny too. Instead you deride them for being “desperate” due to their horniness

You say that like it’s a bad thing. Women have always lacked sexual passion, so

Actually, given that the audience is woke college students, that’s a fair point. Given the audience, the linguistic battle is already lost. All that remains is whether you can get them to take the, ahem, “prejudice” seriously.

That’s just redefining “sexism” to mean something different from what it normally means. Same thing with redefining “racism” so that black people can’t be racist anymore. You’ve already lost half the battle there from the language usage alone.

Thanks again for the thorough feedback! If the other person is more of the latter then you can still call things out as racist by simply adjusting your language to use “racially discriminate” but you’re not wrong on people and their attitude towards it. I see, so you’re not advocating for letting the other side redefine things entirely, but rather for trying to come to a set of mutually acceptable terms first. Makes sense. For example you’ll find a lot of people want to date within their race. T…

You have to make sure you're prepared to speak their language - not yours. The problem I see with this is that if you allow them to redefine, say, "racism" to mean something different than what it normally means, then you're either: fighting on the grounds of "Racism isn't so bad" (if you define it that way), which is a losing fight that makes you look like a really bad person, or "That's not racist", except it is if you define it that way, so that's also a losing fight (Or, in the case of the a…

I think this is a hallmark of modern societies failure to discuss that’s gotten (distinctly) worse since 9/11’ish. Do you see any way to improve the discussion? And do you think that 9/11 itself caused the discussion to get worse?

Also, aren’t most arranged marriages just parents introducing potential couples to each other, and both of them have to say yes? It’s not like anyone is married against their will, from what I understand.

In those other examples you give, does it really hurt the person being infantilized? Seems like it just hurts other people

With the whole “it’s impossible to be racist to a white person” thing, that’s likely unironically what you’re going to get as a response.

Ah, and as it turns out... that guy does hate women after all. Part 1 Part 2 Well, that's unfortunate. Sometimes stereotypes exist for a reason.

No of course not. But you know, misogynist incels are a thing. A likely sexually frustrated incel browsing through a forum full of men complaining about feminists is... well, not automatically going to turn misogynist, but I’d like to dial down the chances of that sort of radicalization occurring anyways. We’re complaining from experience, and he’s not, and I just want to make sure he puts things into the proper context.

Damn bro! I get it though, dating is tough as hell for the average person. On the one hand, you have an increasing amount of sexually frustrated incels, some of whom unsurprisingly start resenting women when their sexual needs go unfulfilled. On the other hand, you have a lot of women who can’t find or keep decent men, who unsurprisingly start resenting men when their romantic needs go unfulfilled. It’s kind of a big problem for society, and one that I honestly don’t see a good solution for. I k…

now that they're all university educated they are far below the standards they were at 20 years ago. Why do you think college reduces police standards?
