A lot of it is just human nature. The negatives of it get lumped in as descriptors of the groups of people we don't like. It's incredibly polarizing.

Depending on your age, most people who fit that criteria would just not be single for long. People are single for a reason. Everyone has flaws and accepting someone's specific flaws is part of keeping a partner. Though making spread sheets of guys with scores is kinda fucked and I would hard pass on that.
