I mean, it's accurate. Why do you feel the need to rebut this? You can acknowledge that this is accurate while still recognizing that men also face discrimination and unique challenges in certain areas of life.

Intersectional analysis isn't about different forms of discrimination stacking together, it's about how being at the intersection of certain groups creates unique ways in which members of that intersection are privileged or disadvantaged. The experiences of A∩B isn't just the experiences of A + the experiences of B.

There's no talk about sexual dimorphism forcing men into the role of 'meat shield' for our entire physical and social evolution. There's no mention of the fact that every person alive today is only here because one of their ancestors was a better killer than some other poor schmuck. That sounds an awful lot like biological essentialism…

Feels like I've been saying this for years. Teaching a man not to care about people's bodily autonomy starts at birth when he is violently deprived of his own bodily autonomy.

I could be mistaken, but to my understanding the Supreme Court decided in Roe v Wade was that the right to an abortion is protected by the 4th Amendment The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This outcome is tragic and will have devastating consequences for so many people. But there is a silver lining in that it highlights the need for a strong, explicit guarantee to the right to bodily autonomy and integrity. I'm honestly surprised that Roe v Wade stuck around for so long given its flimsy constitutional justification. If we could pass a constitutional amendment that enshrines into law the right to bodily autonomy and integrity, we could protect abortion rights, decriminalize drug us…

True, Discord would be much better for organizing. Twitter could be used to rally public support.

I strongly suspect that he will use the algorithm to suppress labor organizing and things of that nature.

Frustrating that humans are getting left behind, but I'm so glad that bans on declawing cats are happening

Did you even read the post? Also, I would consider genital mutilation to be a form of sexual abuse, and it's very much glorified in many countries and religions, including America

No disagreements from me. Rape culture also exists in the form of normalization and even glorification of the sexual abuse of children.

Rape culture is definitely real. It's horrifically rampant in fraternities. Other than that, I don't think it's very common. Not in the way feminists usually describe it, at least.

As they say, it takes a village I think children need a diverse range of role positive role models. That doesn't necessarily mean they need father figures or mother figures.

Not even feminists agree on what feminism is. There are so many different conflicting ideologies and groups and motives and agendas that call themselves feminism. Frankly, the same is true of male advocacy groups. Instead of discounting everything and everyone called "feminist", we should look at them on a case by case basis.

Having resources to provide for your child is an essential part of raising a child. Being a breadwinner isn't in and of itself raising a child. We need a system where no parent has to spend all their time slaving away at their job.

I'm pretty sure they do. In addition to the fact that our culture fails so equip many men with the skills involved in caring for a child, pushing them to be breadwinners instead. And as a result of our low wages and high cost of living, being a breadwinner takes up a lot of their time.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
