Yes. Exactly. There are 2 studies I've seen linked on Twitter long ago but I can't find them no matter how much I google. In the studies mentioned the finding was completely accidental. The researcher was studying something else and happened to notice that most of the women claiming to have an orgasm weren't having anything. When he pointed this out to them they were dismissive and insistent that they did have orgasms. One study says it was 50% of the women, another said it was up to 80%.

Plus sex is generally far more important to men than it is to women (in the same way rape is more traumatizing to women than it is to men), it's evolutionary.
