I would need to see some sociological studies on this, but my guess is that abusive people in general are more drawn to people who would be less likely to escape the abuse. Specifically for women into men, the woman might take advantage of the fact that the LVM she is abusing knows he will probably be alone if he leaves. So I do believe an abusive woman would prioritize targets she finds less sensually desirable because a Chad could just leave and find someone not abusive.
