Much like women like(in general) to work fewer hours with more flexibility, whereas men are willing to put up with jobs with greater degree of stress and for longer hours. The first assumes the power comes from the fact that they are male, the latter assumes that that the power doesn't come from they being male, but that there is a correlation between those who have power and being male.
