In my very personal experience, it’s not just about being open. I tried to get help for my problems, trauma and bipolar. Nobody took me seriously. Nobody listened. For the record, death sentence cases cost a shitload more than life in prison cases. There is a lot more that goes into a death penalty trial than does a life in prison trial. As someone who has been in a position like Depps, I really empathize with the guy. I am glad that there are still feminists out there, like you, that actually follow what the movement was meant for. My former step mother used to threaten to accuse my dad of abuse. When that stopped working she instead tried to have me arrested for assault, which I never committed. This lead to me sleeping in my car at my work and having an eventual mental breakdown, the results of which I am still dealing with four years later. This shit is serious.
