A proper beard or moustache is groomed and the way it looks makes that pretty obvious.

So don't apologise for not being circumcised? Right, good tip, I'll keep it in mind =/ "Be comfortable in your own skin" is probably good advice but it's not earth shattering.

Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about why I'm unsubscribing from this subreddit and why more or less everyone posting here has a very warped view of relationships and how people work. We'll do it with roman numerals so it looks fancy. I. Acronyms. There is no need for having an acronym for every possible term that could even be remotely connected to dating. She's not a HB, she's a woman. You're not an AFC, you're a bloke. FR sounds like something a recon scout would give his commandin…

If she's happy to cuddle with you on the couch she's probably happy to kiss you. Try it.

You don't know it? Do you not have a job? MBPT has been standard fare for like 20 years.

The Friend Zone is fatal partially because you've soaked the flame of attraction in the damp rag of disclosure, This is probably true, but god it just sounds so awesome I had to laugh

Just picture how similar this is to showing up with a mix tape and you'll see why you're better off not doing it. But she's touching you, voluntarily following you round, and said (jokingly of course, eeeeverything's a joke) that she likes you. You should ask her out.

Not everyone is annoyed by someone coming up and talking to them, in fact most people aren't. I read in public all the time but I don't think I'd ever be annoyed to talk to someone new. I am genuinely sorry if you are, but it can't really be helped. I think the reason the "girl reading a book" thing gets mentioned so often is because this is a site full of geeks, for whom reading is usually a pretty big interest, so the girl reading a book is one of the very few random people in public that you …

Agree. Exercise makes you feel good, which can be pretty helpful for people who don't feel good already, but the massive harping on it like it's the only way to get women is silly. Probably the best guy I know for picking up is overweight and smokes. TLDR: Exercise is great, that's why there's a whole subreddit for it in r/fitness :-P

Yeah this trend of seddit becoming r/fitness is interesting, like we don't all know unfit guys who are amazing with women.

Even "dance with me" would be better, but as someone pointed out before you're better off just starting dancing and pulling here into it. Ie you're dancing because you want to and she can come along if she wants. That said I feel your pain, dancing is a goddamn nightmare to me, hence why I'm about to start doing lessons.

People writing in a notepad stand out that much to you? Where the hell do you live Alabama? I always have a notepad in my bag to jot down ideas and random things, and quite a lot of people do the same. In technical professions I'd say it's almost common. EDIT: Not actually ragging on people from Alabama, never been there or knowingly met anyone from there, just using it for {insert place without books or pens here}

... You've put an image of a homeless leper hag playing with her iPad in the gutter in my mind. I really really want to see this now

Ubuntu net.. wtf are you talking about? EncasedMeats was suggesting something that would help you stand out and give you something to talk about, ie a subtle peacock/prop. I don't have any problem with iWhatever's but they're not going to be very effective at that when they're "quite common".

I don't think you'd get complaints from many Melbournians for calling it "green and hippie" ;-) Was it exceptionally cheap vodka? I've never had that happen (and I'm a vodka drinker) and I thought pretty much 100% of our spirits were imported.

You're right about it being expensive, though, being from Melbourne the one thing I do like about Sydney is how much cheaper alcohol is north of the border.

From memory Budweiser is 5% ABV, beers in Australia are generally from 4.5% to 5% ABV... not quite sure where the 'watered down' idea comes from? Seems like a pretty comprehensive report, only problem is I freakin hate Shitney :-P

Stereotypes are common literary shorthand, stereotyping is lazy, and sweeping negative generalisations about 20 million people is bigotry. This guy was the worst sort of idiot, a short, musclebound, drunken, ugly, stupid Australian. I've met plenty of drunken Australians in bars during my lifetime, and every single one of them was an arrogant imbecile. They run around like they are always the AMOG, which I think is a natural evolution of descendants of English prison convicts sent into exile in …

Yeah the story was interesting, if only to trigger a "what do you do in a similar situation" thought pattern. Having read his previous FR's I think this guy's just got a lot of hate in general, and likes to express it on faceless groups of people. 'Working Class', Cops, 'Fatties', Football fans, frat guys etc.

I want to downvote this to get it off the FP because the first half is a massive troll sandwich, you'll keep them alive for a month feeding on this shit. But the second half is an FR, which should be automatic upvote. Conflicted :-S EDIT: Ah y'know what, your stereotyping of Australians with the nonsense pop psychology (know the % actually descended from convicts?) has pissed me off juuuust enough. Know what most of the world thinks of yank tourists, chump? EDIT2: And fuckit, while I'm annoyed w…

She did specifically ask for help getting laid. All the life coach stuff is lovely and plenty sensible but people aren't always looking for a life transformation. Also you've assumed a lot about this person with what you just said.

Touch touch touch touch touch. Deliberate touch from any female flicks pretty powerful and instinctive switches in a bloke's brain. Also talk about things related to sex. Not that it's particularly hard to turn a male's mind to sex, but if that's on his mind and you're touching him well... a link will be made
