... Have you pondered going to HR for complaint against your older colleagues? This isn't good for your mental health

I read the title and was confused. After reading the post I forgot why I clicked on it until OP corrected herself hahaha

This subreddit's existence is nice in that we can see the other side of the coin in action and see how crazy it is to be in that extreme. Soon people will not only know of MGTOW but also WGTOW. Lol!

That reminds me, an older colleague said if a couple still hasn't married within 5 years, they won't ever marry. I've personally encountered a couple like this and the girlfriend was very miserable. She went as far as harassing me for a day because I sent a wrong FB sticker to her boyfriend (that has a heart in it). I generally agree with what my colleague said but you know your relationship better than us. Can you honestly see yourself married in the next five years with him? If not, can you co…

No need to be salty. I simply pointed out an observation because like I said, I don't live in America and where I'm from a lot of YOUNG couples want to get married. If the personal affairs between men and women in America are horrendous if not one that is to be approached with caution, there is no need for you to project that to me. Our personal experiences are different. I think you're trying to twist my words to abide by your cynical view of marriage.

Did I say that as if it's the most awful thing in the world? No lol. Sorry if it came across that way. I personally know couples who want to get married (but can't due to financial reasons) at that age and they're a lot in my country.

I heard prenups hold more ground in America than they do in, say, the UK.

Truth is, he is afraid to commit. The things he said are just excuses. Someone on here quoted custody numbers for men. That should give you ground to research on his claim and settle with that assumption with a resolution once and for all

Are you sure you've raised this problem to him? Your man reminds me of mine although yours is much more extreme. We've had more than one talk about this and he (at least in my case) was shocked. He genuinely didn't know what he was doing made me feel like he didn't care. It took more disagreements to really get the message across but with time, he has improved. He can only do so much though and I have to understand he won't be as understanding/emotional as I'd want him to be and that's something…

It does sound like he never intended to marry his ex or planned but it never went through. This is unfair for both. If he didn't want to commit for whatever reason, he shouldn't have waited ten years to set his foot down and let her go. His ex should've made her wants/needs clear and demands as objectively as possible early on the relationship. This reads like a cautionary tale indeed as plenty of women in this sub have an end goal of marriage and he comes along to casually say what sounds like …

Ehhh I'm inclined to believe we all have weird beliefs/theories on a certain belief no matter how smart someone is.

Oh I see. I was trying to point out people can believe whatever they want. You included!

I'm using your argument here because I'm getting this logic: There is no objective fool-proof evidence of "feminine" energy therefore it doesn't exist. I can then conclude that people's beliefs are wrong if they don't exist using religion as a context: There is no objective fool-proof evidence of a god and his army of angels therefore it doesn't exist.

Yeah... I don't think Christians/Muslims/religious folks will take that kindly in this sub when you say that to them...

I can also believe it doesn't exist but that doesn't make me more reasonable and intelligent than a person who believes in it. For the record, I don't believe in female energy in a literal sense but I believe in the philosophy behind it.

you people believe in anything... Who's to say we all have the same beliefs here?

everyone who believes that women deserve equal rights is technically a feminist. Equal rights for both genders and advocating for it is called being a "human rights activist" not "feminist" the first advocates for both genders' rights and the latter advocates for women, less so for men, if ever.

Whenever I don't feel secure about life in general, he never misses a beat and promises he'll take care of me when the going gets tough. He's consistent with that promise and fulfills it; no questions asked but I still struggle to be receptive of his help at times when I need it at most.

Another way to describe feminine and masculine energy is yin and yang. It's not made up by modern day feminists. At least in eastern philosophy, it has been around for ages.

Are there different kinds of sunscreen? They tend to be heavy on my oily combination face and every so often, I break out. I still want to use sunscreens and give it a try but I haven't found one that works for me :(

I consider myself RP-leaning with some conservative beliefs (grew up in a conservative city so no surprise) but I'm like you, I'm interested in being in a relationship but I don't want to be in one. I just like the idea. You can say I'm in "nun mode" after a breakup but despite my lack of interest in relationships, I don't see RP as a sexual strategy game like some people but I see it as a life style. It's easier to dress and act feminine where I'm from for example, so there's that. There's no o…

I have tried to breakup again with him today by... Blocking him without warning. Briefly, I thought that's wrong but I know he'll convince me otherwise. Here's to not going back together hopefully? 🍺

I too thought it was worth it... For three years; but it was unstable, we were both compatible sexually and constantly flirt a lot but socially and emotionally? Socially dead. It was great when we can connect but those are short lived. It's not worth it, it felt like I was in a relationship with a wall. Try as he might, he ALWAYS hits a wall emotionally and socially. Unless he gets help for his emotional unavailability whether be it from childhood neglect or what (because I know I will) it's not…
