When I used to walk my dog in the park young women would often use it as a shortcut late at night. If they were on their own I would head to the opposite side of the park from where they were headed and not leave until I saw them exit safely. I saw other men and couples do this too. If another person can’t pay it within that time they go to court and get a much higher fine along with a criminal record. That’s just one instance of a two tier justice system. I’ve looked at women’s own testimonies through threads about menopause where they acknowledged they were abusive towards their partners and that their husbands were rocks because they stood by them.
