My therapist wrote a letter saying that I should take 30 days of leave for undisclosed reasons because I can't perform work tasks. I added some language that I would do work as needed. Employer, which was the Gov't at the time accepted that. Some employers might request more info. It worked for me but the govt probably has different policies around FMLA than private companies. I suppose I was fortunate in having accrued almost 250 hours of accrued sick leave over 15 years which I could use towar…

Just try to show up the best way you can. You'll have some good days and some bad days. I went through this too....it was rough dealing with. Took a lot of time off. Used FMLA. Still I missed things at work, and suffered for it. It turned out OK.

Dip your toes in slowly. See what happens. My personal experience hasn't been great, but I know others have been. Try to find yourself, not another woman.
